Adding key codes
After all the help I got last time, it worked! I was able to connect the base game and DLC's to Steam from the original key codes. Except for one.

In my normal game I play DLC France. But when I enter the key code to add the game I get the message the key code doesn't exist!

How come? Any ideas? And how to add it?

If you mean you added ETS2 key from normal game to Steam, then it's going to be dead as Steam owns it now? Explain it a bit more so folks can help

It would have been more helpful if you reused the same topic, to follow through more easily.

Since you didn't bought the DLC France from Steam, you need to take it with the seller of that key. In a last resort, you could write an e-mail to the SCS support with that key and the proof of purchase of said key. If that key is valid, SCS may give you a valid one.

NB: when you type your key, beware of any space and dash, G instead of 6 (or vice-versa), O instead of 0 (or vice-versa), I instead of 1 (or vice-versa). But if the key is hexadecimal, there is no G, O or I.

I understand that it would've been easier to use the previous topic. But I couldn't find it.

Anyways, I will try but SCS is very bad in answering e-mails or anything. It makes great games but has a terrible customer service.

. Between your pseudonym and the mouse icon, there is a down arrow > " view posts "
. On the column on the right, there is " Post history "

It's not a terrible customer service. They might have hundreds of mail per day and only 2 or 3 people to answer them. And most of these mails might not be in english, or in broken english, or asking things that are not relevant to the customer service.

So, a) be patient and b) it seems that your issue is known, so either create a new topic here https://forum.scssoft.com/search.php?keywords=key&fid%5B0%5D=111 or try to answer to this topic https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=111&t=246159

Well, this is relevant to their customer service and my English isn't bad. It is crazy and corrupt to make a non-Steam version of a game and then forcing someone to buy the game again so you can play it on Steam. I really hope there's another way and I'm waiting for a reply from SCS themselves.

Thanks for the help here

Both things are irrelevant if you're their nth e-mail of the day, they still need to investigate, answer and log the n-1 e-mails before yours. Unless you kept bullying them until you got a " satisfying answer " like you did in July ...

Bad faith will got you nowhere. The option to " activate a game on Steam " is there to avoid buying any games two times. Your issue is with a reseller, not with Steam nor with SCS.

Now i've got to correct you. I *own* the original ETS2 on CD-Rom (still do) -way before Greenlight on steam was thought of for this game. When it did move onto steam the retail keys that were bought and supplied with the CD-Rom version, were given to Valve and you just activated the game from there.
This thread gives you an idea of it

Did you buy a physical (disc) copy of DLC France or is it a Steam digital code.

If it's just a digital code then did you buy it from a legitimate source or was a it a dodgy reseller?

If it's a copy on a disc, then you can't activate it on Steam.

Q: Where can I buy the legacy version?

A: You can buy the legacy version here: Euro Truck Simulator 2, Going East!, Scandinavia, Vive la France !
Please note that legacy keys for Vive la France ! can't be activated on Steam.
You can download the game files here and update your existing installation here.

It is the official game since I got an e-mail from the same server as all the other DLC's which do work on here.

And I never bullied anyone. You are just making people look bad, mr/ms Nono54Fr.

I'm done here.
