and there are many more manufacturers of trucks.. but nobody cares, because licensing isnt for free :)
MAN are VW´s trucks available in Europe... VW branded trucks are mainly found in countries/ regions like South America or smaller 7.5 - 12 tons vehicles, but even those are (have been) mostly VW-MAN co-developed vehicles...

There´s a higher chance (like 0.05%) to ever see them in ATS than in ETS2 :)

SCS should not do business with a fraudulent company like VW. Associating yourself with a company that makes false claims is bad for business. I'm surprised that they are still in business after selling "clean" diesel cars that cheated on their emmissions tests. Perhaps I'm old fashioned since the "new" philosophy is to lie, cheat, and steal in business, sports, and politics.

What about this?

"The manufacturers have been fined €3.8bn in total – a record penalty imposed by the commission for a vehicle cartel. The other five members of the cartel – Daimler, DAF, MAN, Iveco and Volvo/Renault – settled with the commission a year ago but Scania refused to cooperate, the commission said."

That's every single brand in-game involved, yet ETS2 is still associating itself with them.

Better not ask how many companies do the same, just haven't been caught doing it, yet.

exactly... not to mention that VW was threatening to many others becaus it was close to dominate the market in many regards, plus "Dieselgate" happened exactly after some major player got fired.. well, of course stuff like that is NEVER involved and it´s all about the environment, right?

ever thought about that diesel engines are the most developed engines.. they have a technical limit in reducing fine dust loads and those geniuses in the eu set the limits unrealistic to the possiblities

Sure they do. Same like average fuel consumption. Generations of car drivers were always aware that average fuel consumption across the board of cars was always a big hoax as the tests to measure it are that hillarious that "joke" is not strong enough a word to cover that one. No windpressure, perfect climate conditions, warm engine from the get go. And thats just the biggest bulls in that park. As long as it suits the purpose and the lobbies cry loud enough nothing too bad will happen.
