Are you really allowed to have extra driving lights in Europe?
ATS has no extra lights other than marker lights because we cannot have more than 4 lights of headlight brightness in the states. When I had a 1969 Ford Torino GT convertible I replaced its high beams with 100 watt aircraft landing lights that could light up the Wisconsin woods. When I had a 1986 Ford F150 pickup which had single headlights for high/low beam I added driving lights to a Baja like bull bar, which when switched on would toggle with high beams. That helped to avoid running into whitetail deer which have a heavy population in that state in spite of hunting. But not sure if modular lights with high/low beams in same enclosure count as 2 or 4 lights.

So I was wondering if Europe allows legally adding as many bright lights as you can in ETS2 with potentially multiple light bars? Of course it is different for road rallies because roads are closed to public traffic at that time and nobody coming from other direction to be blinded.

I don't know about light rules in other european countries.
But in Denmark, as far I remember the rules says you may add these extra lights on your car (and I guess these rules also are for trucks):
1 set of fog lights (2 pieces, and there are more specific rules where you mount them on the car)
1 set (2 pieces) of high beam lights.
1 work lamp
Maybe trucks may have more work lamps than cars?

Furthermore the also are rules for side lamps on vans, trucks and trailers. These types of vehicles shall have a minimum number of yellow markingslys along the side, the number depends on the length of the vehicle.

And off course there also are specific rules for ektra rear lights.

Fortunately you learn some stuff about this when attending driving school to get your truck licence. If the truck is more than 6 metres long you have to have markers lights on the side of it. You're allowed to have a light box on your truck. Let me grab the book ...
4 extra high beams, overtaking lights/blinkers, 2 white or yellow front fog lights, 2 white or yellow day light driving lights, extra white or yellow forward pointing marker lights, 1 seeker light, 1 or more work lights, 1 or 2 fog back lights, 2 or 4 extra back lights, extra red marker lights on the back, 1 of 2 fog back lights, extra side lights, 1 extra forward indicator on each side, 1 extra indicator on each side, 1 or 2 extra back indicators (it's allowed to have 14 indicators in all), 1 or 2 stop lights and 1 one long beacon on the roof or two rotating beacon lights.
That's a lot to remember but these are the extra permitted lights in Denmark.

Happy :longhaul:in' and blinding the AI. :steammocking:

It is normal for European trucks to have several additional lights on the lightbars. But of course those are all high beam lights, so they are only used when no other traffic is around. In normal traffic they are switched off.
