you srue have the c++ libs correctly installed?
and its a compaq...thsoe ususlay have a ton of bloatwre not needed at all
see if thats the case and clean out all the stuff you donty really use/need.
Now I'm looking at all the people who has the same problem, no clear answer yet...I bought this game ETS2 back in 2015, I was running on Win7, it was smooth with every setting in ULTRA, but oneday it started to crash, at first it was after an hour of playing, then 30mins, then 15mins....I want to believe the problem has something to do with Win10, because I literally checked and almost replaced everything else.
Thousands of people play this game without a problem, this I believe. But how many people are running in 4K resolution? Or using Win10? We get a lot of answers to this problem, most people always say to check the driver, or decrease your resolution because your hardware is outdated, if it was a rookie mistake I guess wouldn't be looking for a solution for the past year.
I'll check the C++, too, wouldn't hurt:)
EDIT: Uninstalled the C++ 2005 and 2008 redistributables in programs and features in control panel, it stayed alive for another 10 seconds. I'm unconfortable nuking all the other ones so that it's forced to reinstall C++ because i'm relativley sure the nvidia drivers use the C++ redistributables.
