cruise control activating retarder

I am unable to use my cruise control. Each time I press it the retarder is activated. I changed nothing in game. It just all of a sudden happened. I closed the game restarted, went into controls and made sure cruise was the c key, went back to game and it still activates the retarder when the c key is pushed.

did u check the retarder button in controll setup ? not only the cruise controll ;p ?

Default key to reduce the Retarder is ' (apostrophe). Hit that key three times to be sure it's all the way off, then try using CC again. You may have hit the activation key ; (semi-colon) for the Retarder without realising.

When you're activating CC and it says "retarder is activated", it's just informing you that the retarder is on, not that the CC-button activated it (unless you have those bound to the same key). Deactivate the retarder as per Ryu's instruction and your CC will work.

*edit: to clarify: you can't activate CC, if your retarder is on.
