Best sounding engine?

GT Mike's T800 with the 550HP C15 engine is the best I've heard for American trucks.
I also have a mod for a Turbo sound for the Volvo FH models for ETS2. It dates back to the 1.18 patch but if you have it, it works on the 1.27.

Kriechbaum's sound mods are always awesome and close to the real deal
A CAT 3046E is always nice
A Cummins engine will do the job as well

Some old two strokes, or the Mack V8, anyway, even though you won't find them in the featured trucks

For European trucks I'd say either a Scania V8, or a DAF (Paccar) or Volvo...

I just bought the Benz GigaSpace, it has no sounds at all? Any of u know how to fix? i tried different engines.. :/

Yeah alot of the European trucks dont have very good diesel/turbo noises. Cummins engines for sure especially in the mod Volvo 670 it sounds amazing and I use it just cuz it does

I'm on my phone so can't remember it lol.

But the legendary Scania V8 is one of the few engines where the turbo sounds spot on in my ears in the EU. Let me turn on my pc ....

Let me try again lol. Ohh, remember to turn up the bass and volume for these.

A CAT 3408 V8 sounds gorgeous with the turbo and all. Sounds like a real truck in my ears.

For base SCS trucks I like the sound of the 523 HP (or something like that) Merc engine in the old Across.

Take the Freightliner Argosy, start the engine and lean out of the window and listen to the idle sound... ;)

I use the Dr Holtz soundpack,its got a realynear RL V8 sound and the rest of the truck's have also a verry nice sound.
