Configuration of Steering Wheel
Hi all

First of all, sorry for my english, it's not my mother tongue...
I've bought a steering wheel to play ETS2 (but not only ^^), but there is one thing I can't explain.

When I turn with the steering wheel, everithing is allright, the game turn also well, but when my steering wheel is turned more than 45°, the game decide that the truck have to turn max.
It's really annoying because some turns are really dangerous.
In the configuration of the game, I see that behaviour. I've configured the steering on Windows, but nothing has changed since ...

My steering is a Trustgaming GTX 580 (http://www.trust.com/en/product/21414-gxt-580-vibration-feedback-racing-wheel).
Can someone help me, or at least explain me this behaviour ?

Thanks a Lot

Yes, your wheel is 180degrees and the game believes it's a 900degrees. You need to use the software that came with the wheel to make the game aware of the fact that you can only make one full circle with your wheel.
I use a Logitech Driving Force GT and it was the other way around, the game believed that my wheel could only do 180. After installing the wheel's software and specifically ticking a box that said '900', the game read the range of my steeringwheel correctly.

Here's a link to the latest software for your wheel in my dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8sn6mxk9xfvcdso/21414_01.exe?dl=0
Don't ask me how to use it, I just found the latest software for you and moved it to my dropbox for you. Anyway, it's the official Trust driver for your steeringwheel.

I had problems until someone said put steering sensitivity and linearity to 100%...now it's perfect

Hi, and thanks for your answers.

@knighthawk : It didn't solve my problem ...

@Bogor : I downloaded and installed the driver (thanks a lot for your help), but the problem is still the same.
The wizard just install some DLL, I guess these are the same as the ones installed when I've plugged the steering wheel.

Unfortunately, I don't have any box that I can tick to specify the 900°

Your wheel doesn't have 900degrees, the specs are clear on that. I make no assumptions on suitability or quality, mind you. Wheels are IMO a personal preference limited by affordabilty.

First the 'doh! suggestion: Have you selected the wheel in the game's controller setup? The setting you're looking for is [your wheel]+mouse.
If that isn't it, read on. Otherwise, ignore below.

What happens is that game is reading the range wrong, once you go past a certain point, the game gets told that you turn into extreme lock left or right. Is the wheel the only controller that you have connected to the PC at the moment? If not, remove any controller that you might have, excluding an Xbox360 one. (Get rid of the Xbone one if you have it, it messes up legacy games for instance.)
If you have no controllers other than the wheel connected then you have no other oprion than to write an e-mail to SCS-support and tell them that ETS2 doesn't correctly support your wheel.
