Most console gamers probably won't enjoy this game because this genre is barely represented on consoles and gamers normally wouldn't be used to this type of gameplay, whereas on PC they've been around for a long time and has garnered a big fanbase (the genre I mean, not just this game). There's also the fact that a gamepad doesn't support every single key (I use a gamepad but I still have to use the keyboard for some features) so it'd be a bit hard to port it to consoles.
While it is true that lots of PC games ported to console involves some 'dumbing down' in features, etc, it's not entirely true. The Farming Simulator series have been successfully ported to consoles with every feature intact that I am aware of. I guess there is a market for the genre on consoles, but I don't think it's really big enough to warrant a port. ETS2 also has a much, much larger map than Farming Simulator so it may not actually be feasible to port. I have no clue if it does or not though.
Also, if it's any consolation, although not intended, the title has flamebait written all over it, though it doesn't seem like your intent. Lots of console bashers here on Steam, just need to steer around them.
That's basically what it boils down to. I could be incorrect on a few things as I'm not sure how some of those procedures would work.
Oh yeah. All those 83 keys in ETS2 would fit flawlessly on a controller with 16 buttons. That's perfection right there if I ever saw it.
Perfect as soon as the controllers have 83 buttons or so to control everythin that ETS2 and ATS has lol.
There is no way they could add all the functions thet the games have onto the controller only.
