The reason I ask this is that there is a misunderstanding by some players that this new DLC was an update to the existing High Power Cargo Pack DLC. It was not an update. Heavy Cargo DLC is a separate purchase. Everyone got the new 8x4 chassis and the new Truck Analysis screen for loads >24t as part of the game update to accommodate the new DLC, however, if you don't buy the DLC then you don't get the new heavy loads.
G'day Ryu,
I purchased the DLC yesterday, and it DID take a while to show the new loads.
I'm at present taking one of those loads to Dijon.
I really like the steerable trailer wheels too.
Right now, only my Scania, which I had previously changed to a 8x6 is able to haul one of the DLC loads.
I have a VNL (Aradeth) set up with 8x6 but can' t get it to couple to the trailer. I assume Aradeth must update this DLC to enable it, right?
I do wish that I could find a tutorial on the importance of placing DLCs in "Mod Manager" which I'm guessding is often the crux of so many problems we read about.
Do you know of such a guide/tutorial/pdf that would help?
Cheers,
Vernon
I don't use that mod truck, but it might be an issue of not enough room around the 5th wheel on that 8x6 chassis; these heavy loads use a trailer with a fairly chunky tongue. :)
Don't know of any guides or pdf's out there, but the general guideline I found (can't remember where or who posted it) for ordering mods in the Mod Manager is (from top to bottom):
Game Fixes/Misc Tweaks
Trucks
Truck Improvements
Trailers
Maps
Many people use different load orders and have everything working, but this is the order I've been using since I started running mods and I've not ever had an issue. YMMV. :)
