Honestly, loving it, I know people are talking about performance issues, but mine is working perfect on years old hardware, maybe I'm just lucky or something. I will be waiting to buy till it releases to see the variety of things we can't see in the beta, new maps/areas, weapons and armor, and monsters though.

i don't know how i forgot this, but it is NOT fun trying to figure out how to play with a friend. This is the most unnecessary and convoluted system of menus to navigate just to join 1 person. Invite friend, Invite to link party, Invite to Environment Link, Kick friends cause you cant post quests with friends in the same environment, post quest, reinvite friends, reload new world. all this ♥♥♥♥ is in different menus and its not intuitive. keep coping

Is anyone else having issues with microphone input volume? For some reason, every time my microphone peaks, the input volume decreases. As soon as I quit the game, it immediately goes back up to 100?? I turned off the setting that allows applications to have control over my microphone.

Why can't they figure out the damn UI and controls for KB/M... UI is unnecessarily cluttered and confusing, and half the controls make no sense or straight up don't even work properly...

RYZEN 5600
NVIDEA RTX4060
32 GB RAM

Im getting the CPU Temp at 80C on heavy moments and usually between 68 to 76 on MH Wilds Beta Test.

Im playing in medium quality with dlss 3.5 on quality upscaling.

Is it safe to keep playing or these temperatures are not normal ?

better coolers can always reduce temps if you want to have less heat CPU wise etc, but I don't think CPU's are in any real danger around those temps. When working in stuff like Blender or rendering, I think they can get a lot higher than that.

Also, this game is very rough optimisation wise that could explain higher than usual temps too...

I'm not too familiar with Ryzen CPU's as I have Intel, but I know Intel ones are known to get hot and will soon switch to a Ryzen myself.

the character creator is so in depth i really can't wait for the full version of this vibrant world of voracious monsters. i've never played Monster Hunter before but everything felt really good and looked stunning. I have only beaten the first few hunts, and saw that there is some challenge. the gearing seems to be limited, but food buffs matter and you can try alot of different classes and explore some of the world. sometimes the monsters fight each other and there's alot of pursuit involved. i like the hook shot and using ur environment to impact the fights!! and the best part of a hunt is always a good meal afterwards so there's a good pace it feels like between hunting and going back to camp to prepare for the next. the party system also felt pretty nice hopping in with similar skilled hunters to tackle bigger tasks together and then split apart afterwards after collecting the hide and certificate. i'm definitely keeping my eye on this for the full version. thanks for giving us a free teaser with the beta.

people cant get riggy enough to run the game. too bad. stop downing the devs for a damn beta... if your pc cant handle it, then so be it. wait for release, NVIDIA and AMD also have to implement those optimizations which is alot. Why would you expect your pc to perform even all the way decent without those being implemented. STOP DOING THIS DURING TEST, let these devs breathe, of course the game will be optimized, they have a timeline of dropping the most cleanest AAA series.

no crafting? mhh, not sure - if this feature sucks the game is dead. I will not preorder and will take a look in 3 month. btw. the dessert loot awful

As a lifelong hammer main, I like some of the changes in Wilds, but in its open beta state it really needs some more tuning to not feel quite so clunky. The offset attack really needs a shortcut of some sort, forcing it to be at the very end of an attack string makes it rough to land with any intention; more often than not it'll happen by accident when just attacking normally, which doesn't feel as satisfying.
