TLOZ BOTW Runs at 25 fps, and tries to burst to 30fps to make it feel like a big jump and smooth, PC games don't have a stable frame rate like this because they aren't designed for this, you can absolutely see above 60 fps otherwise 500hz and 750hz monitors would not exist. E-Sports players, and I can speak on this with actual experience too, can see the difference for very quick actions, 60ms reactions, 150ms reactions, etc, If you are on a 60hz monitor, you are literally seeing things after they happen, if you are on a 500hz monitor at 500fps and someone is on a 60hz monitor at 60fps, the person using the 500hz monitor is literally seeing things before they happen on that other persons monitor, and not by a small margin too either in combat games, and guess what games fall into this group as well? MH.
And if you aren't a competitive player in fast paced games, you still want to see higher FPS, because if you get a 240hz monitor and get 240fps and play a very very very fast moving game, it'll look crisp and smooth, same thing on a 60hz is incredibly blurry and even in some cases totally unintelligible, 60fps is simply unacceptable for fast paced moving games, it's good for 4k singleplayer or slower games that are strategy based or just campaigns, that's really about it.
i cap my fps at 60 cause that all that is needed any higher its just silly
Monster Hunter wilds running at 60 fps looks the same as 120fps, you really dont notice anything
What do you think frame gen was originally for? It was to make 60 fps look like 120.
Sure, 120 might be desirable to improve the clarity on ips displays, but an oled at 60 has better clarity than IPS at 120, although it looks SIGNIFICANTLY worse if anything drops below 60
me my brother my friends my father and mother. everyone i know in canada cant notice it, so you must be a alien or from china
no i said the human eye cant see passed 60 fps,
