Do I need a 5090 to play this game like most games now?
Everyone keeps screaming to everyone to upgrade to the best new card or you wont be able to play games anymore. I only have a 3070ti, so I assume I can't play this game at all. Is this true?

His 3070ti GPU yes. His 9700k CPU no.

That is on par with about an 11600k or 12400. It absolutely can run the game properly just about as much as an CPU on the market can, which is none of them. There is free documentation for you to look on up online if you would like to learn more.

Here we go again

if i had to guess, a 3070TI will run on high. It can run cyberpunk 2077 on high/ultra at a fairly solid 30fps soooo yea.

I play cyberpunk2077 on high in 4k at 75fps with dlss quality, so not sure why you are lying to others, or just havant had the opportunity to try it yourself.

I also ran it for 2k for benchmark and got 20k score with good rating on high at 58fps using dlss on quality. It still isn't that good personally for me to enjoy the game. I was hoping for 75+. I will pass on this game until i upgrade my pc.

It doesn’t feel good? Listen guy you and everyone else can’t tell a difference between 58 fps and 75 fps. Those numbers are meaningless. You only can really tell a difference between 30 and 60fps. You just don’t feel good not getting your arbitrary 75 FPS, it’s like me saying I don’t feel good not getting 66 fps when I’m getting 65fps. You’re an idiot….

Seeing your initial post I had a hunch you were a moron. This confirms to me you are a moron.
Calling people names on the internet just makes you the ultimate coward. You would never say it to my face, I promise you, because if you had the balls too, you wouldn't need to call me names while you are safe on your computer.

I might just upgrade my cpu and then ill be able to run it better, good thought!

if you are a pc gamer and you like the above 120 fps then yes you will need the newest gpu to be able to get it to work
I was just hoping for 75fps, but fell short, so i will wait til they optimize the game more. It was the same with the new ff7, i couldnt play it very well and it was low fps, and they updated the game, and now I play it perfect at 75fps +

My brother, MHWilds is not Cyberpunk. You have to stop comparing your expected fps to games that are well optimized single player games. Its irrelevant for Wilds

No one is saying this game is well optimized, it factually is not. It is also a very CPU intensive game. The MINIMUM CPU for CP2077 is a i7-6700. For Wilds its i5-10400.

Maybe someday they'll fix it enough that you can get the fps you want, I'm just explaining that, for THIS game, its not your GPU that is the issue, its the CPU.

you were saying i couldnt run cyberpunk, im only replying back to what you have said is all. I already told this forum it wasnt playable yet for me until they optimize the game. It was the same thing with ff7 that just came out, i wasnt able to play it very well, but after they updated, which was really quick might i add, i can now play the game very well at 80fps with no issues. I hope they do the same with this one, but im not holding my breath!

In what world is a 9700K on par with a 12400?

Yes it has 2 more cores but it has no hyperthreading.

9700K drops around 3600pts on Cinebench R20, meanwhile the 12400 drops 4500pts.

9000pts vs 12000pts in R23.

12400 is a good 25-30% faster in multicore, and smokes it in single core...

Oh I see the confusion. I meant it wouldn't run Wilds well, not CP2077. Sorry about that.

OP this would be why you are getting bad performance:

I just have a 9700k intel cpu. I hope its still ok!

You're blaming the wrong thing. Even on the store page, the minimum spec CPU is i5-10400 or i3-12100. I'm sorry, but your CPU is just not up to running the game properly. You can still run it, but even a 5090 won't increase your fps at all.

Your best bet is to turn on FSR3 upscalling. You cannot use Nvidia Framegen because it is locked to the 40 generation cards, but FSR3's Framegen will help your fps.
The store page is not accurate.
My PC is in the range they give on the store yet I get 15fps at lowest settings.

You know...you could just download the free benchmark to test at what settings you can run the game with a satisfactory fps...
