CDKeys and I are now on a break
I went to purchase Wilds on CDK and got charged on PayPal but the order on CDKs end never actually happened. Fortunately a sweet lady named May is the absolute greatest and was able to give me a refund. So I'll be a legitimate purchaser for the time being because I'm a scared little boy.

Is the money save truly that massive its worth to take that risk and not just buying it here on steam?
If you're gonna buy stuff, use isthereanydeal.com for third party. This site does not list grey market...

I definitely will from here on out i think. CDK was just the first site I used with that stuff and I had the mindset of "well it worked once so I'll use it again" "well it worked twice" and so on
well duh its a preorder so theyre not gonna give you your key until the day of release lol

No no i mean like when i preordered KCD2 on CDK it showed up in my recent purchases and i got an email and everything, and it told me id get a key on release day (i actually got it a few days before that) but with Wilds, i got no email at all, and it didnt show up in my recent purchases and the person i emailed said they saw no sign of my purchase despite paypal showing what I bought and when

A lot of these key sellers are criminals doing money laundering or crap like that.
If you want a serious source, look for https://isthereanydeal.com

The only one in that list that ever did something fishy was "green man gaming" (asking a copy of an ID card, which is illegal, stupid, and never to be accepted)
I've told them to keep their keys and went somewhere else.

Anytime anyone is selling keys for new or unreleased videogames at a much cheaper price than anywhere else there's a good chance those keys were stolen.

Such sites impersonate reviewers or content creators to get free review keys and then sell them to you.

Such keys are often revoked when the theft is discovered.

If you don't want to risk randomly losing access to something you paid for, don't buy from gray market sites.

A lesson I'm glad I learned without any serious repercussions. I've already told myself from here on out I'm buying new games from steam directly and only using other sites if the game has been out for a little while

The site I linked is perfectly save. As said, its only official retailers The only advantage on buying on steam is preload/inmediate download. On a third party site thats listed on isthereanydeal.com you can savely buy. The only difference is, the later you pre order, chances are they might not get theyr keys in time for your purchase.

Don't buy from steam, there are better and legit resellers, its just cd-keys is grey
been buying from there for years, never had an issue. Seems like they have good customer service.

Yeah I'll for sure be checking that site out from now on. Now it's just me debating between paying 70 on here and just being done with it or pay around 57 on fanatical and constantly worry about anything that *may* happen in the future. I just overthink everything constantly
