Aspect Ratio 16:10
Still no 16:10 aspect ratio, in this day in age of gaming this should be a standard

Pretty gross
This isn't the most ideal situation but for now it works...

So just FYI: my laptop display has a 2560 x 1600 resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio (Nvidia RTX 4080) and this how I was able to fix the issue with getting fullscreen (aka the grey bars on the top and bottom of my screen)

- Download the zip file here https://github.com/praydog/REFramework-nightly/releases/download/nightly-01077-702e9733349645db378ebf5892487a0a9ac89a9b/MHWILDS.zip
-Extract the "reframework" folder and "Dinput8.dll" into the game folder (where the Monster Hunter .exe is located).
- Launch the game. You should see the REFramework menu.
- Press Insert to bring up the menu (default keybinding).
- Navigate to the Graphics tab and check the following boxes:
x - Ultrawide/FOV/aspect ratio fix
x - Ultrawide: Override FOV with 1.00 Ultrawide:
x - Force Resolution to window size

I don't know if it matters but I also have my scaling mode set to fullscreen under the Nvidia Control Panel Settings under Display>Adjust Desktop Size and Position and I have "perform scaling on" set to "GPU" and I checked the box that says, "override the scaling mode set by games and programs."

Probably to avoid people complaining about black bars this time around. At least Capcom is moving babysteps forward and their used engine is starting to support 21:9 already and isn't stuck with 16:9 aspect ratio only. Hopefully they will learn by the next game that there are other aspect ratios that are spreading and being used by more and more people like the 16:10 (which does seem to be a more common ratio encountered on modern laptops) and 32:9.

I have one question, the mod works great but, the gui (like the map and the items on the bottom right etc) still appear as they would on a 16:9 display, is there any way to move them or did I make a mistake?
@Asher: Yeah I know. As of right now, I don't know of a solution to get everything else (i.e. HUD, menus, etc) adjusted to the new resolution. If you or anyone finds a solution please let me know. It's really annoying why can't the devs just add fullscreen support for 16:10. I bet you it would be extremely easy for them to do too.

I wish I had seen this sooner. If anyone google's the black bars at the top and bottom of their screen/display, this is the answer (for my Steam Deck) when streaming Sunshine:Moonlight. I didn't have to change display scaling to GPU/Display however.

This method offsets the cursor in game and the actual cursor, so I have to aim lower to hit menu I want, do you know any fix for that or we'll have to cope?
If anyone is streaming from moonlight on steamdeck you don't need reframework - turn off the ultrawide settings in reframework, then in moonlight set the internal resolution of moonlight to 1080p. Then in performance options on the steamdeck (lightning bolt icon) you can use a per game profile profile for moonlight and change the scaling mode to stretch.
16:10? What is that abomination?
I'm more annoyed about no native 32:9 support...

I know about the mod and use it since it became useable. That's why I said NATIVE support...
