remote play support? (steam link)
Hey I tried run the game from steam link on remote from my iPad but screen goes black, game runs because if you check on the PC the game is actually running. I took it as given that it would be running since for rise it works like a charm.

Anyone with same issue or with some suggestion?

(PC specs and internet connection are optimal that is not the problem I can guarantee :) )

Also experiencing the same issue, but I'm only running the benchmark program. Not sure what to expect on the actual game at launch.

I noticed that if I Alt-Tab on the host machine, I can actually see the game running fine, but wouldn't be practical for real play since it's also showing the taskbar / etc.

Will update if I find any solutions. Have tried a variety of combinations of host and client Remote Play settings. Also tried a few different graphics configs in the benchmark app. No luck so far.

Another time traveler!!! Maybe wait for the game to release or go to the future and ask there.
@RedViper, totally understand where you’re coming from.

However, if the benchmark program is there to check if our systems are able to run the game, I’d love to be able to check if I’ll be able to run the game in the way I’m planning to play it.

You’re of course correct that waiting to see will be the best, but I wanted to confirm that I also was running into the same issues as OP.

Sharing that sort of information hurts no one and benefits others who may be wondering if it’s just their machine or not.

I was referring to OP that doesn't mention running the benchmark, just “the game”, since it's not possible because it's not out yet and a benchmark is not a game.

And still I doubt that they would care to make the benchmark compatible with remote play since its not its function.

That would be something that you have to wait for the full release to see if it is supported, like it says it does in World but not in Wilds as of now.
Good points! And yeah, I'm assuming it will all be ironed out for release anyways.

Steamlink is not a system. its onlyt logical to wait for the game's release to see if steam link actually works. As far as I know iits not supported regardless as it dont have remote play as a tag.
I'm not using Steam Link (though the OP is), but rather Remote Play to my deck.

Wasn't intending to claim that remote play (or steam link) is itself a "system", but rather that I wanted to test my system would be able to both run the game and stream it without major hiccups.

Point still stands though that I experienced the same issue as OP, which I felt was useful to share back to them.

I appreciate the input though and have no disagreement about the fact that we won't officially know until release!

I couldn't get Steam Link working during Beta but it was Beta so...

I am leaning towards it not working with Frame Gen though unless anyone knows of another game running Frame Gen that does work over Steam Link.

I wouldn't be surprised if it worked but only without Frame Gen off which is fine by me as my main machine can push 90 fps with no frame gen and getting 60 over Steam Link will be good enough.

i did used my laptop to play on my desktop just as a test, and worked on the beta for me

benchmark wont work for that test, the screen will be black, you can't capture the screen on the benchmark from what i saw, would screw with the score.

@RedViper relax buddy I meant no harm to you anyhow. It was obviously meant regarding Beta testing. I am no time traveller :)
I wonder why would you share such useless comment but I guess is not my business. Hope you can find some peace with yourself <3

Regardless thanks to @TheVelourFrog to share your experience. And @Tefty, @Shugo as well :)

I guess we will figure out tomorrow! Have fun guys :D
Hitting same issue on normal version today but no luck on fixing it :(

Remoteplay worked fine for me through all of the Beta's but with the full release I am running into this problem.

If you have a black screen with steam link, go to remote play settings and advanced host or so, there check the nvidia settings. it worked for me.
I was able to play via remote play without any issues during the beta test, but after purchasing, the screen blacks out, and I can no longer see it on my iPhone. The sound is working, and inputs from the iPhone are being reflected on the PC.
Had the same issue
I set the resolution on PC to 720p and updated SD to the latest Stable firmware. Runs smoothe for me now.
Hope this helps <3
