Pc or PS5?
I preordered the game for PC but I'm debating whether to cancel and get it on PS5 instead.

My Setup:
PC: RTX 3070 Ti, Ryzen 5600X, 32GB RAM, 2TB NVMe SSD
PS5: Standard Edition, 55" LG OLED C3

My Experience:
I enjoy playing MH Wilds on my 55" OLED TV, but I notice some blurriness and weird textures on PS5.

On PC, I can run it at 3440x1440p, high presets, 45 FPS, which I consider a sweet spot despite needing upscaling due to optimization issues.
Pros & Cons:
PS5:
✅ Play comfortably in bed on a 55" OLED TV
❌ 30 FPS and some rough textures

PC:
✅ 45 FPS at high settings, looks better overall
❌ Stuck sitting in my gaming chair after a long workday

Do you think performance will improve on both platforms after launch?
If you were in my shoes, what would you do?

You don't have to sit in a gaming chair. hook your pc to the 55 inch tv, and get a xbox controller, plug controller into pc and play MHWilds on your 55 inch tv. You can get HDMI extender cables if needed same for USB ones for the controller. MHwilds works 100% perfectly with a xbox controller without needing to do any configuration at all. It just works natively.
I run a dual monitor setup and one of them is a 35 inch HDTV, so I can sit on my bed and grab a controller and relax and play.

Not sure if my pc would be able to handle the 4k resolution of my tv. Probably it will go down to 30fps at high presets. But not sure, but yeah I actually play that way mh world. With my tv plugged to my pc and with my ps5 controller
pc does not need a subscription to play online.

You don't have to play the game at 4k on your TV, you can lower the resolution.

The game runs in borderless windowed. Run your computer at 4k and set the game's resolution to 1440p. It will render to an internal frame buffer and do a bilinear upscale to 4k.

If your TV is capable of 1440p and has an AI upscaler, then setting your computer to 1440p will force an AI upscale to 4k through your TV. Being an OLED, you likely have an AI upscaler.

I ditched my gaming chair years ago I have a lazy boy rocker in front of computer desk now :D And either way PC is going to be far superior no matter what because of mods fixing issues that PS5 will likely never get.

If your really worried about performance wait a couple days to a week to watch reviews maybe from digital foundry or something because every tech tuber and there grandmother are going to be talking about Wilds when it launches.
Look into a new small semi portable pc case. just bring it into the room with the tv with you and use a controller. in my case i just have a wire running to my tv from my desk. there are also wireless streaming options that are low latency

You could just set the screen resolution in windows to 2k. unless you sit right infront of the screen you probably wont even notice unless you look for it. but if 4k is a must, monhun on ps5 will most likely be optimized much better. the dev team is still new to working on pc and this is the first time they are launching both consol and pc versions at the same time. expect wilds to get many performance patches for pc over time.
If you're a PC gamer, then there is no choice, it's PC all day every day. If you struggle to make a decision between PC and console... then you're a console gamer who has a PC. So just get it on console.

I have an 48 inch LG. C2, and I have it next to pc plugged in and game on thay with controllers games.

Well it's cross play which is nice. PC and console will play together so it doesn't matter which you get.

you could just plug your pc into your tv you know? i use my LG oled big 4k 120hz hdr television as my main monitor because its so much more immersive imo. Setup is a bit weird but doable. Two fold up food tables, one for keyboard other for mouse. Plenty of room and extension cables for all usb's so i can do controller or keyboard. My mouse and keyboard are wireless so its not a massive issue with wires everywhere. I have an ultrawide too but find myself only using it as a second monitor on my desk to my left.

i even use my wireless keyboard and mouse with that as my main setup. Two fold up food tables for the keyboard and one for mouse. I'm an old school console gamer and prefer the big screen over a cramped desk.
