[BENCHMARK] No difference between Ultra and Medium presets in terms of FPS?
Hello there,

both the presets run at pretty much the same FPS average of 102-105. I didn't adjust any settings except for setting DLSS to "Quality" and turning bloom down to "Low" on both. How does that work?

Cheers!

If changing graphics settings doesn't change FPS, then you have a CPU/processor bottleneck.

Your CPU cannot provide enough information to your GPU to render it fast enough.

Well, this would be the first game I encounter this issue with. I've run games with much higher graphical fidelity and usually the more I lower the settings, the higher the fps count goes.

i9-14900KF
RTX 4090
64 GB RAM
Win 11, game installed on SSD

Yep that's a CPU bottleneck hell someone just overclocked there 9900x & gained a 20% boost to performance.

But yea highest to lowest is maybe 10-15fps.
Even my 5800x3d isn't enough fir the game.
Even the best cpu on the market the 9800X3D is struggling in the game.

Then you've just run into the maximum capability of your 14900k.

Just raise the graphics as high as you can without losing framerate. 102-105fps is excellent.

Games still get bottlenecked even at 4k.

This is very heavy on CPU. I suggest using riva tuner and particilairy using that to monitor GPU % use. If it drops, gpu waits = a bottleneck, but I honestly would wait for launch and not use beta to do this.

You can try benchmark, but thats also 2 months old now and only gives a clearer picture of what you mifht expect but is subject to change when game launches.

Well, ♥♥♥♥. Not complaining about the fps, but it just seemed odd to me. Do you know if the full release will feature a built-in limiter? Couldn't find one in the settings even though some settings refer to it lol
The fact is, this game or RE engine has a terrible CPU usage.

When compared to other games, the terribleness is even more obvious.

There's a limiter in the beta but not the benchmark, so yes in theory the full release should have a limiter.

But, stranger things have happened.
