Current Situation of MH Wilds Sales on All Platforms
Days left until launch: 13

Steam: Global Top Seller #2
Playstation Store: Global Top Pre-Orders #2 Premium Deluxe version - #3 Standart version
Xbox: Does not show Global Top Pre-Orders.

Never seen a game toping charts 2 weeks before. 1million concurrent players on launch does not seem to be a dream. It will be a reality at this rate.

Those numbers are completely meaningless. Take Avowed for example, 5th place and only has 10k players playing the early access version. Wilds will be 50k at most, with a big refund ratio if most of the rumors are true (remember cyberpunk? or DD2?)
A funny argument, pretty sure people used something similar for Dragonage... "it's in the top 5" then as it moved up, of course it is this won't indicate its concurrent player base at all.

And I'm in the camp of playing day 1, I will be personally lol

50k? You realize even beta on PC had 450k+ concurrent players peak right? The game gets 3x concurrent players than beta on launch. (this happens for every single game out there)

50k is to low 1 million is to high imo only lol

If I giving it a range, it'll be from world numbers so the range I'd put it in after the beta kerfuffle and benchmark whining. 200k-550k if I was just giving a range of non exact numbers lol

It's true beta has a lot, but some people have refunded from that they say, so there is a chance it's less then that cuz beta is "free" so I don't think 3x is good to hinge upon. But I would love to see it 😂

Because a beta is free. There is no big premium entry fee. The 2nd beta had less than half of that, if you're not aware.

That's not it works tho. Then tell me this, I'll give you an example of a free to play game.

The first descendant, a looter shooter, a completely free to play game from beta to launch. First ever beta had: 70k concurrent players. The game launched and peaked at: 264k concurrent players.

Now tell me, why it had 3x numbers on launch? Let me tell you, majority of players don't give a single fk about beta tests of the games. They are just there for launch, it will be the same for MH Wilds.

CS is global rank 1 currently and we know why, people buy a lot of skins, chests, keys etc. I don't need to tell you the difference between CS sales and Avowed sales, the gap is huge even tho there is only 6-7 ranks between them. Wilds will be on #1 close to launch, if a game passes CS on sales... I think you understand the rest.

Talk to me when we see the concurrent players, I don't care about reviews as they will be very positive slowly. I know the performance issues, people will be negative reviews but when they are gone, it will be very positive.

We are here talking about concurrent players, let's talk when we see the peak numbers. If I'm wrong, I'll be apologizing to you personally.

I don't think a lot of people are going to refund. I see MHwilds getting at least 200k players opening week. I'd love to play the game myself but I'll probably wait a year until it's optimized better.

It was a similar situation with MHworlds, I preordered it on PC after playing it like crazy on the PS4 but the optimization was not there and it took capcom a long time to get it sorted out. By then the game was already on sale.

This is the most accurate assumption.
DD2 and KCD2 have similar peak players on release.

Assuming this game will have anywhere close to 1m players is like living in your own bubble. There is no way thats going to happen with their current system reqs.

Yeah if people were sure that MHwilds was optimized better it probably would have a massive amount of people on Steam, but since most people are worried about the poor optimization it'll be safer to either play it on console or just wait a year or so.

Path of Exile 2 was #1 for quite awhile and only got like 500k on Steam. Maybe 1 million across all platforms? That's likely.
