50k is to low 1 million is to high imo only lol
If I giving it a range, it'll be from world numbers so the range I'd put it in after the beta kerfuffle and benchmark whining. 200k-550k if I was just giving a range of non exact numbers lol
It's true beta has a lot, but some people have refunded from that they say, so there is a chance it's less then that cuz beta is "free" so I don't think 3x is good to hinge upon. But I would love to see it 😂
The first descendant, a looter shooter, a completely free to play game from beta to launch. First ever beta had: 70k concurrent players. The game launched and peaked at: 264k concurrent players.
Now tell me, why it had 3x numbers on launch? Let me tell you, majority of players don't give a single fk about beta tests of the games. They are just there for launch, it will be the same for MH Wilds.
CS is global rank 1 currently and we know why, people buy a lot of skins, chests, keys etc. I don't need to tell you the difference between CS sales and Avowed sales, the gap is huge even tho there is only 6-7 ranks between them. Wilds will be on #1 close to launch, if a game passes CS on sales... I think you understand the rest.
We are here talking about concurrent players, let's talk when we see the peak numbers. If I'm wrong, I'll be apologizing to you personally.
It was a similar situation with MHworlds, I preordered it on PC after playing it like crazy on the PS4 but the optimization was not there and it took capcom a long time to get it sorted out. By then the game was already on sale.
DD2 and KCD2 have similar peak players on release.
Assuming this game will have anywhere close to 1m players is like living in your own bubble. There is no way thats going to happen with their current system reqs.
Path of Exile 2 was #1 for quite awhile and only got like 500k on Steam. Maybe 1 million across all platforms? That's likely.
