Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds

I have been playing since the PS2. My take on the Beta.
The Beta looked terrible. If I were to be completely honest. Monsterhunter-Tri on my old big TV back in the day on my Wii had better 60hz quality than this beta.

with that said.. Where is the Sorting of the boxes?? Is it Automatically Sorted now in my tent? The whole fun point of having a box with you're items in the game was to come back to the tent and Sort them and check them out.

Cutting the animal and now Quest items Automatically Teleport to you're Tent box???
wtf is that, how can I see what i have carved if its gone into the box and not my inventory on the field.

the Traveling pet you have Runs to much at the slight push of the joystick or button,
This needs to be fixed to the player holding "Run" or Letting go of button to slow down the monster to Avoid Automatically running into walls and bumping into things when you forget what button to press to slow down. it just makes sense...

Everything done in the previous Monsterhunter Rise was perfect for New Gen monsterhunter gaming. This is more Worlds mixed with Tri-Wii style with some dodgy graphics and movement and looting. take it from me I have played every monsterhunter game since the ps2 even the 3rd in Japan when it came out to clocking in over 6k kills on gold rathian alone on psp Freedom unite and over 2k on white fatilis. this Beta needs to be worked on allllot.

crazy bait thread.

Tri is natively at 720p 30 fps. I only assume you made this comment because nothing looked like Tri in 2010.

Sorting is a QOL feature. No clue why you are complaining about something that was an annoyance in the first place.

Monster Items to box is another QOL feature, Again, not sure why you are complaining about something that was once an annoyance. MH4U sorta did this 10 years ago with the field pouch giving you 10 extra slots on a hunt.

There is settings in game to have manual control of the sekriet if you looked hard enough.

For the comment on online play, there were private lobbies in the beta if you took 5 seconds after selecting your character.

As for your comment about sticking to the roots more, it's not going to happen. World is a testament that this series is never going back to how it was before World. The harsh reality is that those sales numbers speak volumes more than the pre-World MH community ever will. Also I'm pretty sure it outsold portable 3rd within 3 days of release with 5 million copies making it the best selling MH game.

Tri assumption no. I am using it as an example of mechanics. I don't care about the look. the look of this beta was absolutely horrendous.

If you thought box sorting was an annoyance over the past years Monsterhunter isn't for you, sorry to burst you're bubble.

Sekriet, I haven't checked it, I'm also not talking about settings, I am talking about new player logon experience without setting check. straight pick up and play mechanics because most console users just pick up and go as well as some PC.

Sticking to roots: obviously there is a shift in the model... That's why I am here to discuss the changes to improve the game. I am not asking to make it 1:1 ration identically of the old ones.

And sales numbers in the first 2 weeks of release Monsterhunter worlds became the 4th highest game they have sold. not the first. MHW over time became the highest they have sold.

1. Valid

2. I'm playing Monster Hunter to Hunt Monsters you dumbass, not waste time fiddling with box.
Edit: Auto Sorting has been a feature in every monster hunter game are you high?

3. Somewhat valid, though again this is game is aiming towards new players first and foremost.

4. I think they'll get around to a healthy balance of both new and old but usually the expansions focus on that.

5. Incorrect: https://www.capcom.co.jp/ir/english/news/html/e180129.html

2. Then if you are only playing the game to only hunt the monsters and not enjoy every detail of the game then you are of course only going to have a one sided opinion. It's not a bad thing its just you're style of playing.

3. yeah somewhat valid 50/50

4. You are forgetting - Monsterhunter worlds was Global - Monsterhunter 3rd was only released in Japan making it the single most sold game in the Monsterhunter Genre if it was global. unfortunately it wasn't but only true fans know this.

With the open world image coming into longevity I can guarantee not the next game but 2 games from now it will be something to make history if they are funded enough and keep working on this business model with improvements for sure. Micro transactions and D.E.I and making it over simplified will kill it though.

What are you on about lmao? It already has both micro transactions and D.E.I going in the franchise, and it has been doing more than fine with it.

2. Not exactly sure how sorting my box manually makes the gameplay experience better when there is no benefit to doing so. You don't need to take items to the smithy and you can just make an item set instead of going through icon by icon for what you need if you're going out into the field. I assume back in Monster Hunter 1 is was completely different so we might have conflicting outlooks no matter what.

3. I hope they just put something in the game in the beginning during the tutorial to set it on or off.

4. I highly doubt that portable 3rd would've been the best selling monster hunter game globally considering it's stuck on the PSP (Claw grip ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks) and monster hunter was still really niche outside of japan at the time.

yes but not to the extent it could be. and that has not been their main focus. if it was their main focus you would see Buy + 20 box inventory slots for 20$ or buy this base camp location for 30$...

in the PSP versions you could download custom quests origionally. like around 60 new quests like Laoshan double gold giant Rajang always enraged... or Tiny rajang and King Shakalaka....

They obviously knew Quests and pre order armor and DLCs is going to be a thing since 15 years ago..... that's no issue and even then you could customize you're character to look DEI even before it was a thing so that's not really a main focus with the game. if it was the main focus with the game you would know it.

2. All they need to do is add in a UI that caters to users who want to manually sort their boxes or not. exactly what you are saying, Switch on or off. If its a heritage feature it should still be existent because every title previously has this so It would be a shame to loose it, varies on different play styles.

3. exactly, we need more improvements like this.

4. 3rd Title made news and TV and they hosted one of the biggest monsterhunter conventions in Japan for it. If it was global with some good marketing it would of smashed the charts. but for some reason just like the game - God Eater, they only released it in Japan. different game though GE was also released in Europe and select few countries but that's just an example. the example is they need to navigate our game that we pay for with our money to make it better for us. we are buying the game giving this company our money and we should be allowed to see and ask for improvements. weather its asking for Pink undies, or asking for a heavy blade that is supposed to hit 5-900 damage and not 100 or 123 damage at Blade + level.... they just need to keep improving on the game and doing the best they can for the consumer (us) so everyone wins.
The Beta Sucked...... The Full game now.. = It's Beautiful. Amazing and worth the money. Great work.
