You get it. true fan, You understand all the mobs moving at once to the landscape and the UI is a complete shift in a "one button press" game that is slowly loosing its monster hunter elements.
Old men made this game, Old men maintain this game, Old men have been playing this game since day 1. And its old men that have to fix this game. Get with the times rookie.
You can always get off the mount, and walk to everything, and then pick it up. There are also options for how items are handled, find the one that gives you the least QoL, and use that.
Seem to fit your style. These are MICROSCOPIC things to complain about, but where there's no problems....MAKE it.
I agree completely. The issues are small, but they have been small over the past what ... 4-5 games and the genre in the next 10 years will decline if it keeps going that way.. all I'm just saying is they need to stick to their roots a bit better to bring in revenue for the game so the franchise will last longer. and these issues conflict with their previous game builds.
I have still pre-ordered it if you would like to know because regardless it is Monsterhunter were talking about and they deserve the money. But to provide them input and feedback we must also do to improve the longevity of the game.
"Roots" grow and evolve, humans are the best example of that. What we remember as charm and down to earth, is today annoying. Im 41 now, been gaming since i was like 4-5. sure, some games back then i hold dear, but they were annoying if i play them today.
while i understand your argument, i dont miss the tedium of the old games, and im glad they evolved. Im 41, i got a job, i got kids, i got little time. If the game makes me spend 1-2 hours per session picking items and sorting my boxes, im not gonna be able to get anyting done.
So thats how i see it, its sad....but also good. Games are becoming more "automated", and thats not always a bad thing.
Im still gonna coop this with my wife, and we love running around catching critters and mining and looting, but we dont love sorting boxes and spending time figuring out what we are missing etc, the game tells us, boom, we go do it.
You can slow down, or you can speed it up, you are in control.
I agree. I agree that it can be really beneficial. But in my post, I slung my hook at a random rock with no bug indication... and a bitterbug or thunderbug randomly got grabbed from out of no where behind the rock. I believe..... Its only small issues I am stating. I'm not saying the game as a whole is bad... I'm saying they need to fix their game to improve user interaction like - Manual box sorting or Automatic similar to the original boxes model that was more user friendly. The gathering is too quick, one button pressing will fill up the boxes quicker in the game and stop people actually spending time farming and engaging in Farming.... This means players will slowly in the future think of farming as just some button press game instead of actually farming like the previous ones with Poke farm and building farming into a mini game its self. There's really not much to change about the game. the game overall is a great concept and piece in work. but they could improve on a few things to make it better. open criticism is the best criticism.
Changes that make veterans whine. But ultimately, like every new game in the franchise, they'll just adapt to it with a grimace while it brings more and more new players in anyway.
it has some pretty damn good combat animations tho, ill give it that.
Yeah straight combat wise... its crazy good. once the game is polished and they work on Sakrit movement and make it easier to call and hop on and off wait timers to small changes the game will be Goated.
With the open world image coming into longevity I can guarantee not the next game but 2 games from now it will be something to make history if they are funded enough and keep working on this business model with improvements for sure. Micro transactions and D.E.I and making it over simplified will kill it though.
crazy bait thread.
Tri is natively at 720p 30 fps. I only assume you made this comment because nothing looked like Tri in 2010.
Sorting is a QOL feature. No clue why you are complaining about something that was an annoyance in the first place.
Monster Items to box is another QOL feature, Again, not sure why you are complaining about something that was once an annoyance. MH4U sorta did this 10 years ago with the field pouch giving you 10 extra slots on a hunt.
There is settings in game to have manual control of the sekriet if you looked hard enough.
For the comment on online play, there were private lobbies in the beta if you took 5 seconds after selecting your character.
As for your comment about sticking to the roots more, it's not going to happen. World is a testament that this series is never going back to how it was before. The harsh reality is that those sales numbers speak volumes more than the pre-World MH community ever will. Also I'm pretty sure it outsold portable 3rd within 3 days of release with 5 million copies making it the best selling MH game.
Plus MH is still fun no matter what game it is
Im all for change, im not one of those who start crying if a developer wants to vary their days at the office alittle, i understand. Making the same mechanics for 10 games straight has to be REALLY frustrating(See assassins creed, farcry etc).
So, lets just hope they made a good job. I will miss the Claw in some cases, hated it in others. Focus mode is great...most of the time. The garthering is VERY quick, unless you are mining stuff, then its the same as before. You still gotta explore all the tiny caves and nooks and crannies to find the rare stuff, and i love that.
I hope they expand on the farming alittle, as the farm in World was....bland, and i like farming games. I hope the player home is amazing and expanded on, because we enjoy gathering stuff to decorate with.
less than a week, and we shall know!
Tri assumption no. I am using it as an example of mechanics. I don't care about the look. the look of this beta was absolutely horrendous.
If you thought box sorting was an annoyance over the past years Monsterhunter isn't for you, sorry to burst you're bubble.
Sekriet, I haven't checked it, I'm also not talking about settings, I am talking about new player logon experience without setting check. straight pick up and play mechanics because most console users just pick up and go as well as some PC.
Sticking to roots: obviously there is a shift in the model... That's why I am here to discuss the changes to improve the game. I am not asking to make it 1:1 ration identically of the old ones.
And sales numbers in the first 2 weeks of release Monsterhunter worlds became the 4th highest game they have sold. not the first. MHW over time became the highest they have sold.
Yeah. the game will be great. Farming further and bringing back poke farm would be great, I would love to see this.
