The item Hotbar (Controller)

I played a lot of Monster Hunter World, and using the item hotbar there was fine and easy enough, I don't like the item radial menu as much because I can accidentally misinput quite easily.

I could just hit Left or Right on the Dpad and it would cycle my items. Simple enough.
I tried the same in the beta but it did not work like that, I had to hold L1 to do that.

Am I stupid? Was there a keybind or controller setting to change it back to how World worked? What is the point of adding another button to hold just to cycle my items?

You can set this in the Menu. So much customization options.

Yes this could be changed in the options.

I was just using the Dpad to scroll through them.

I can't check what option it was because obviously no more beta T_T
