My Wishlist
Things I want to see in Monster Hunter: Wilds in no particular order
1. airship hub(optional)
2. no restocks
3. gathering should be required again(farms should be a privilege not free items)
4. removal of armor spheres(armor should be upgraded into trees like in Dos)
5. remove most offensive armor skills(attack up and element up can stay)
6. craft-able decos, but make the mats harder to get(similar to MHGU and older games)
7. less deco slots or skill thresholds(old world)
8. organic quests that come from a village, hunting in defense not mindless killing(world cough cough)
9. return of seasons and make items/monsters only available during certain seasons/times of day(realism, immersion, and better simulation)
10. no more infinite box space and only 1 in game at player home/base(storage optimization has been a capcom staple for a long time and i miss it from mh)
11. bits on sticks can be in game but finals should always be unique
12. no mantels or special equipment, no clutch claw(let me fight the monster without cheap gimmicks)
13. mount should be for traversal and only have very limited storage(palamute was op)
14. no palico skills in the item bar(pet peeve)
15. let final weapons in all trees be sidegrades or have a use(gunlance was really bad at this in past games where only 1 or 2 weapon trees were viable and i hate it)
16. return of subquests(basic as)
17. low rank should be harder and high rank should be difficult(much like MH Tri)
18. small monsters should feel more threatening and fight with the large monsters(like jaggi from tri)
19. large monsters should share carves if theyre the same species (teo/luna)
20. remove turf wars theyre a free damage gimmick not ecology(monsters used to interact in old games anyway)
21. make blue mushrooms required for potions and antidotes again(i miss them)

For 18, Rise already did this, kind of. Small monsters leave you alone for the most part, but Rakna and Great Izuchi in particular really stand out for small monsters being actually part of the fight, in a way that no other game has really tried before. They actually attack in synchronisation with their leader and in the case of Rakna she actually uses the little spiders as part of her actual moveset

I think Great Girros did this too but he was pretty forgettable in general tbh

yeah i LOVED those few monsters who had little minions, but then the devs forget small monsters area a thing for the rest of the game, id just like the world to feel like a real threat and im not on some MH themed playground

1. As cool as airships are in MH, I'd rather not have another airship hub, it did not look that great in GU. Now, if we had an airship hub, and we got a Shantien-like fight were we get to at some point fight a monster on it, and it crashes said airship during the final phase, that'd be badass.
2. I'm fine with no restocks because i almost never used it. Now, if they pull a World and just give you all the items you need to restock for no effort, then they might as well have restock back.
3. I mean, gathering is still a heavy part of the game, farms are there because players do not like having to solo gather a ton of stuff. Gunners absolutely need farms to make ammo something they can routinely use. Unless guns were to be completely overhauled to not use special ammo, farms are staying as they are, for the long haul.
4. Oh ♥♥♥♥ no, tree upgrades for armor were miserable. There's a reason they didnt bring it back.
5. Why? You do know this means things like Foray or Dereliction or Dragonvein never returning.
6. I mean, Rise did this.
7. Less decoslots would be hard to balance, like near impossible. If they were somehow able to pull it off, great.
8. I mean, this alone tells me you've never played MH in general. Quests in the past games were like "Hunt this Teostra because I need some entertainment". The reason for why youre hunting a monster just does not matter, never has, never will.
9. As much as I would like to see seasons, people HATED timed events in World/IB. It would be quickly modded out within a week. The best option we got so far is quests having random season perks, like more herbivores in the area, or more mining nodes, etc.
10. Why do we need limited box space? Like, if you said we needed the return of the combine books, I'd be with you, but why bring back the pack rat guides? So we dont have our low rank materials any more?
11. This I can agree with.
12. Unfortunately, Special Gimmick Hunting has been a thing since 4U, so that'll be here to stay.
13. I feel Palamutes were in a good spot as is, but Palicos need a buff. Granted, even if Palamutes couldn't fight, they'd still remain the big pick because mobility is just saught after in MH as a whole. There's a reason why a majority of Old World hunters rather grind monsters in an arena, rather than constantly chase them down.
14. Didnt Palico skills only have one item in the tool bar, and it was Felvine Bomb in Rise? I dont remember using World's palico skill that often, but even then, it was just a single slot.
15. This is literally unavoidable. Some weapons will get a lot of useful trees, others won't. You might as well ask for world peace, you'd have an easier chance getting that.
16. As long as we get the goody ones again.
17. Low Rank should not be difficult, outside of which monsters are in low rank. Also, who tf thought Tri was hard, there's 12 monsters in that game.
18. As someone stated previous, Rise actually began programming monsters with special minion Ai, those monsters being Great Izuchi and Rakna and her sub. I absolute would love to see more monsters become psuedo horde fights.
19. They started doing that with 5th Gen, where Variants would have roughly the same loot tables, but then also have special carves. I feel tho in some cases, like Teo and Luna, they should have different tables. In cases like Los and Ian, they should have some similar tables, but they already had that.
20. I'd be fine with turf wars if they had more like Teo/Luna's where they work together. Teo/Luna, Los/Ian, Legi/Shrieking, hell, I wanted Rare Espinas to return in SB just so we could have the return of the Flaming/Rare Espinas super nuke. But beyond those, I feel a lot of Turf Wars, at least in World, got really boring really fast.
21. I could agree to this to a degree, I believe the change was done in World so that players just needed to gather Herbs for potions in the field, rather than two ingredients.

I don't mind that, but then make it so you could make more stuff with the items that you gather. This is Monster Hunter, not Herb Gatherer.

Kinda agree, all offensive abilities/skills should go on weapon/trinkets. Armor can remain defense oriented only as it makes sense.

I'd love that, as long as I can switch seasons/times of day around as I please.

There should simply be new mechanic(s). If there ain't going to be any, then the devs will be regarded as lazy.
