Please Optimize MH Wilds for Mid-Range Laptops

Dear Capcom team and fellow hunters,

I’m not just a fan of Monster Hunter — I’m someone who’s supported this series through every generation, even without the best hardware. I use a laptop with an RTX 3050 (4GB VRAM) and 16GB RAM. It’s not high-end, but it’s enough to run most games today… when they’re well-optimized.

That’s why I’m honestly worried about Monster Hunter Wilds. From what we’ve seen and the early spec rumors, I’m not sure I’ll even be able to run the game smoothly, even on the lowest settings. And no, I can’t just go out and buy a new machine. I work. I use this laptop mainly for work and creative projects — gaming is my passion, but not something I can always afford to invest big money into.

It’s frustrating and sad to feel like I might be left behind — not because I don't love the game, but because my device wasn’t built with 8GB+ VRAM. Please, Capcom — give us options. Let us scale down visuals. Optimize textures and loading. Give those of us who stuck by you a chance to keep playing, even if it's not pretty.

I know I’m not the only one. If you’re using a mid-range laptop or RTX 3050 and feel the same, please reply or upvote. Maybe if we speak up together, someone will hear us.

think you should consider upgrading, no amount of optimization is gonna make it run well on a mobile gpu with 4gb vram, that's not even mid range, that's very low end

8gb is the bare minimum nowadays

You are hallucinating. 3050 is not "mid range", it is an "absolute bottom range". Also it is 2 generations behind the relevancy.

You didn't mention what CPU your laptop has, but it probably doesn't matter much because if you were to play this game you would have a poor experience.

They could have made this game in the same engine as World, further optimized it, improved the textures, and nobody would have complained. As a matter of fact they would have got praised. Instead they chose to use RE Engine again, when they know that engine is garbage for bigger open/semi-open world games.

Hopefully it gets better so you can enjoy the game, but don't hold your breath. It's Capcom after all.

3050 mobile is pretty awful its in the same range as a rx580 from yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaars ago

if you want a "mid-range" card it has to be like a 4070 mobile which is close to a 3060 desktop iirc. however, a 4070 mobile would most likely be equipped with a 1440p display which makes it underpowered once again rip
