It’s just sad that Wilds feels Like Rise with better graphics and slightly better gameplay
I can't really blame the developers, there were a lot of people crying that worlds was too difficult, I remember people were salty they couldn't beat nerigate (forgot the names) solo, or they cried about the unicorn being too OP. (I was so proud when I solo killed the unicorn, I felt then that I understood the game).
Then there was that final fantasy monster, behemoth, that was just a free bonus and not part of the game, they cried about that too.
Now wilds is easy and more successful than world, they will keep making it this easy.
Go play them if that's the only thing you care about.
Most people don't like that kind of gameplay so expect low player numbers.
Disappointed Wilds didn't bring that back and flesh it out some more. Actually having to out to gather so you can prepare to observe, track, and hunt a monster would be pretty fun -- and evocative of the game's title, for that matter.
Yep, building/preparing gear to hunt a particular monster is what made world fun and is what the game is about.
This reminded me of a wind monster in world that was in the air 90% of the time, I have to hunt and craft a new weapon (bow) with its elemental weakness (electric) to take it out.
For the reviews of wild it sounds like crafting is not important or too easy.
Which defeats the essence of the game.
Even the endemic life is scripted because I See the Same animals Doing the exact Same thing at the Same time.
The world doesnt feel alive at all.
I just want to point out that 130 hours is not "nothing to do" it's fairly a long playtime.
Now i can understand no replayability or that MH may be usually more like 300hours type of game, but honestly, i think farming is a chore, so i disagree that "farming is too easy" but i get where older MH players came from. Especially since fighting is fun, but having an excuse to fight is better. Maxing everything out can be a thing to do ?
I played this game especially cause i didn't want to farm like koreans ! (Koreans' mmo back in my days where crazy farming chore mechanics, they love that i think, now they farm manwha and series and i love them for it)
I think the best thing for now is to just participate in events and updates. Eventually, Master rank will be introduced with whole new different mechanics and potentially Elder Dragons who might make us go from one map to another in a single hunt (wishful thinking). But other than that, I would suggest you log in with a goal in mind like hunting all monsters in one map and hop off. or gain a few hunter rank ups and hop off. the game will gradually get better.
This is objectively untrue. There is wildlife out there who perform mating rituals with each other, will catch butterflies out of the air and eat them, nest and raise babies in trees. Fish will splash in water attracting flying animals that will catch and eat them. You add half a dozen or more monsters that roam the map the whole time and you have maps that feel the most alive of ANY game ever made.
It's absolutely more alive than World, than Rise and subsequently any other Monster Hunter game before it. Maybe take some time to explore the zones and look around some?
World was the same.... smh. You only needed to kill a monster 2 or 3 times before you could craft a whole set or weapon. It's the same here in Wilds, perhaps you might even need to kill 1 more. You're really remembering it wrong, perhaps take off the rose tinted glasses.
I have 1700 hours in World and it wasn't because it made you farm monsters, it's because it was fun to fight them. It's the same here. Also, you may not need to farm for 1 set and 1 weapon but have you tried playing more than 1 weapon? Now that's a farm. Imagine collecting 30+ Zoh Shia horns.
Literally the same as World. Literally the same as Rise. What kind of end game are you expecting exactly? Do you want maps like Path of Exile? Dungeons? Raids? Rampages?
Capcom are still yet to act but at least wait for them to act on this. If they do not then we can start dumping on them.
It's funny how you compare this to World and claim World is better in so many ways. You truly do remember World wrong. Wilds is literally following the same path that World took. There is no more or less content than World at the same point of release of the games.
You say "everything" was more meaningful. Can you provide examples? What do you mean by "meaningful"?
