In a normal setting, the only thing expected from you is not to cart. This is because you will fail the quest if you cart 3 times, and this limit is even tighter when you're playing in a group.
In arena, you are expected to dish the highest dps. So avoiding/parrying every attack becomes a requirement. Even in a group (2 people), you are expected to stand right next to each other so both of you can hit the monster's head and maximize your dps.
tl:dr; You probably just didn't work on your speedrunning skills. Watching a speedrun clip on youtube and trying to imitate them is usually enough to get an A rank.
Damn, i absolutely despise speedruns, i just want to enjoy my games and play in an immersive pace. This wouldnt bother me if they wouldnt lock items behind those quests...
"Speedrunning skills" has next to nothing to do with getting an A rank in arena quests. Thats only squeezing the seconds/milliseconds out of them.
Mind you atm with all the cheaters and hackers most of the first page or so is just 0:00 to 2:00 times. So I wouldn't worry too much about it till after Capcom deals with them.
not gonna lie their is sooo many players that have 0 idea how to play monster hunter who get carried through the games lol!
gonna try again....
