Are Artian weapons worth it ?

like when i can already make all the weapons are Artians even worth ?
So far only the bow one i found to be at least "good"

Depends on your weapon class. If you use a weapon that doesn't need any additional skills (e.g. longsword), just use a Zoh Shia weapon and slot in crit boost. If you need to slot in additional skills (e.g. focus for greatsword), artian weapons are absolutely worth it.

Fully empowered Artian, with a "godly roll", are meta for lance/CB/DS/SnS/GS.
Their craftable equivalent has a DPS of -5/-10% (depending on weapon) AND a lot less utility because of the 3 level 3 gem slots.

I've barely touched them, even in spite of being able to mod the RNG out of the upgrades. They're just... not great, at least for Gunners. Most Artian Bows have garbage coating options, and the Bowguns have to be built for one ammo type alone, which is kinda awful.

I believe its the most accessible path for an affinity blast weapon for all weapon types. The deco slots are nice. Otherwise not really unless you really need those weapon decoration slots.

I like the system, just not the current available results. Wish you could use monster parts so the weapons would have more visual variety.

Yeah, depends on the weapon type and how eager you are to min-max your build.

Artian weapons are flat out superior for the most part, but how much superior? If you're using paralysis then it's defacto worth it in most cases, even a mid artian weapon should outperform.

If you're looking for a blast substitute, then the Zoh Shia weapon fills that niche in the same kind of way, and has no fear of status build-up immunity.

Artian weapons offer you a lot of customization potential and something to grind while you wait for content drops. You pick the damage type, the buffs and you have full deco slots to make what you want.

Unless Artian weapons are buffed by future updates, they will likely never be considered unanimously meta weapons and future updates are sure to provide better and better things to chase as the game progresses.

That doesn't make Artian weapons bad or unusable, however.

Artians are fated to become obsolete, if not by a title update's offerings, then by the master rank expansion. So putting in the time to get a godroll is NOT worth it, as it can take hundreds of crafts to get what you want.

However if you can content yourself with a sub-optimal roll then sure, go for it.

If you have to wait for Master Rank for them to become obsolete, then they're pretty much getting their maximum value. Again totally up to individuals if that's worth it, Wilds will get plenty of updates until the expansion, and if you're interested in doing the Arch-Tempered fights, and they actually end up hard, then might help gain that slight edge.

When master rank comes, they'll just roll out rarity 12 artians and they'll probably be best in slot for elemental builds.

That's not how it worked in past Monster Hunter games. They will most likely continue the crafting trees as they always did. There's no reason to assume Artian weapons are more than an endgame grind for the base game.

the paralysis ones i can make gets like 80 paralysis at best
the Lala barina paralysis weapons gets like 4-5 times more than that

Element Boosts on a Status weapon will boost the Status. I don't think you can get 5 Element Boosts normally, but that would make for a lot more status than you'd get from a Lala Barina weapon. Probably less damage if you really went for the min-max though.

paralysis element only goes to 3 levels in wilds
so you can use the lvl 1 slot for 1 level , level 2 slot for para jewel 2 and its maxxed out, then critical status lvl 3 or just razor sharp for sharpness i guess
like i tested it already and the regular weapon did paralysis 10 times easier than artian ones

He meant rolling for status boost, not the decoration.
