noob question: do weapons get new attacks, moves, skills later?
HI,

new monster hunter player here, now in Chapter 4 (just turned HR 26) and enjoying it; but wondering if the fighting experience with a particular weapon changes as you progress the weapon tree or other changes like slotting items into it.

For example, I'm playing Hammer. Do any future upgrades maybe add an attack or combo or some sort of effect/skill that might change how I actually fight? While I enjoy the bonk, dodge, bonk, run away and heal, run back and bonk play. It's starting to feel like a lot of the same thing over and over, regardless if I switch to a different hammer type. I can't really tell the difference between one that has poison vs dragon vs water, etc. Any upgrades that, like take over and zoom your around or let you throw it like Thor?

I know I can change weapons to get a different fighting experience (after upgrading them to catch up to the Hammer level i have); but also wondering if the actual fight experience changes later with different upgrades or it it's all about damage increases but doesn't really modify your behavior much.

If it's really just damage with minor differences occasionally like being able to immobilize the monster via paralysis or wearing it out, that's fine. I'm having fun still but may switch to a different weapon to mix it up; but also wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything that might spice up the weapon I like and starting to get good with so I don't have to change to have a bit different experience.

Thanks
