Question about wyveria lantern, and possibly other strange item interactions

I've figured that it's a plant, and it is called a mysterious plant in the en translation, I think, however, instead of using botanist for a bonus to gather it, it uses geologist.

That's it, I'm not sure if I'd call whaat a plant and it's produce to be mineral enough to be triggered by geologist instead.

Have you even read the description of the skill? “Increases the number of items you gain at gathering points.” It also increases bone collecting at lvl1 and at lvl2 it says: “Additionally adds one extra item when gathering special items.” and wyveria lantern fall into that category.

I see plant, i think botanist, i see rock, i think geologist, so no, i didn't read the fact that "special items" is a special category on it's own.

Botanist also include insects and mushrooms which are not plants. So what is your point?

The ability says: “Increases the quantity of herbs and other consumable items you gather.” Can you consume a wyveria lantern? No, then it doesn't count for the botanist skill.

what point? it was a question to begin with.

I'd chuck insects and mushrooms into botany related activities as well even if I can't consume it as they're all part of the farm in world.

If you want clarification on why did I think that, sure, in world, I'm quite certain there were botanic related interactions such as butterbur from the top of my head.

I mean, it's a plant, or plant related, I actually don't remember why i was grabbing butterbur and that special bonus butterbur.

I think geologist further with clarfication, I think minerals, hard stuff, kushala's shed skin in iceborne, bones.

I didn't think we have a special category or It's been so long, I've misremembered all of it.

Do you even know what a question is? For starters you need one of these ‘?’ second you did not ask anything at all, you were just stating that it should be boosted with botanist not geologist, and you are still saying the same thing.

You are not asking why, you are saying that is wrong, you don't like it and it should be how you think it is.

You do consume plants and bugs to craft potions and tools. Can you craft anything with the wyveria lantern?

You are not asking why, you are saying that is wrong, you don't like it and it should be how you think it is.

I find it strange that you're continuing on with this after you've already given me the answer, it's unfortunate that I'm clearly not like you so I wouldn't have this question to begin with.
