300+ hours jesus christ.
I was running bow D:
It happens. My suggestion would be that you try to fight it solo once or twice. Even if you fail, you will get familiar with the fight, so when you are in a group you will be doing fine.
As a general info/strat. Always have at least 3 pods on hand. The pods around the arena respawn, so just pick them up when you are low.
Your Seikret will have some free Mega Potions, make sure you grab em!
Zho Shia's Wylk Crystals do quite a lot of damage to it, so dont be afraid to blow them up in its face.
Zho Shia is also very susceptible to Statuses, I play Hammer and the two times I fought it I got like 3-4 paralyzes and 3-4 KOs.
Don't neglect the falling rocks, they do a pretty nifty ammount of damage. If you have trouble aiming them, set a trap right under it. Traps dont work on Zho Shia, but when you see it running or standing on your trap, just look up and pull the rocks.
During it's second phase (when you start seeing its black head), it will do its first signature move. When it flyes towards the cocoons it came from, you know its comming. Run at the exact opposite side of the stage and blow up as many crystals that are near your as you can.
At the transition between phase 3 and 4, going from black with a bit white to just black, it will throw its second signature move. It will spawn a ton of crystals and randomly break them with elemental damage. Seath your weapon, avoid as many crystals as you can, and blow the ones nearer to you.
During phase 4, it will be perma-raged. Its moves deal a lot of damage at that point, but it only does a few things: the electric lane, a fireball at you, spews fire downwards and runs around (I might be forgetting some). While its tough, you can start predicting these moves easily at that point. Learn how to dodge them and you will get it.
During Phase 4, dont get picky about damage, do it when you can. I had no shame hitting the tail with the hammer, feel no shame hitting its legs for grey damage.
Keep hunting, try to have fun, and you'll get it!
You have to join an empty lobby to play solo.
Difficulty has nothing to do with bad game design
