I spent my whole Sunday to catch 250 Escunite and 100 Grand Escunite.
No crown.
1200 regulars, 650 grands fished.
no crown.
it is 200% bugged, there's no way I wouldn't have caught a single crown after a collective 1850~ catches
Grand Escunite myth busted?
Hate to be the skeptic here, but what's up with the capture net retracting as soon as it touches the water? Could just be a setting/tech I don't know about but mine definitely does not do that. Also skeptical because that thing looks hilariously outrageoulsy large like it's not supposed to be there, and I know spawning one of that size in would be relatively easy. My guess is they set the gold crown sizes for the escunites too high to where the game won't actually spawn them in naturally, and this person just spawned one of that size in himself. Or he's just stupidly insanely lucky, would like to see if anyone else can verify this. I'm not looking to capture 1000+ escunites for the crowns so I'm more willing to accept it's just bugged.
When using the Capture Net while crouching, you can cancel the post-throw animation by quickly standing up and crouching again right after throwing. This allows you to use the Capture Net more rapidly.

if someone needs
note: yes there are gold crowns for big gold crowns already BUT i assume we might get later for endemics as well as for small crowns because they have also again size differences
Heaviest - 1,020,598
Biggest - 412,096
So im gonna say 400+ is the gold for the Tuna. You will know visually if its a gold, damn thing was absolutely massive.
Got a 458 biggest Gajau which was humongous and that wasn't a gold, so gonna go wild guess and say that is a 500+ maybe 480+ for gold
As i said though, you will visually see if it could be a gold be just sheer size. Its also a harder time catching the bigger ones in my experience.
Also, character raises arms and cheers if you get a gold whopper.
