Cheaters are rampant in this game already and it's an issue

So I am sure you guys saw it or experienced it but there is more and more cheaters in this game.

I am on ps5 and was playing crossplay but never again and you know why ? Because some cheaters using mods from nexus mods or just trainers made it so not only do they kill tempered monsters in 2 minutes but also you get 10x the rewards... I managed to quit my game instantly so no autosave but basically be careful with who you play now because you might end up with 244 of each materials AND decorations at the end of a hunt...

So for all the people saying mods can't interfere here is your proof...

For others who want to play legit like me be careful and if it happens to you screenshot the name of the players with you and contact support or you might be caught in the cheat too and end up being banned or like they used to do your save corrupted...

And for those of who who cheat in online therefore corrupting other people's progress I really hope you get banned

Edit : For all those defending cheaters saying "you can play offline, solo, in clan, private whatever... NO it's not us legitimate players that should be punished and afraid of playing with other people because some people decided to cheat and ruin it for others. Sure you might play hundreds of hours and never encounter a cheater but then you only need ONE cheater and it's over... ALSO PRETTY IMPORTANT TO KNOW, authors of cheats or cheating mods say THEMSELVES to not use those cheats or cheats mod online yet several of you here tell legit players to go offline... If you use cheats or modded cheats ONLINE despite the AUTHOR saying it has to be used OFFLINE then YOU are in the wrong not legit players...

BY THE WAY there is some mods on nexus mod that completly are illegal because they steal from CAPCOM by making normally paid content free... So if you guys still think modding such as this is not wrong I would love to see you debate about it in court

Does MHW has PVP? Does it have anything competitive? If hackers exist in MHWilds, its their business. Its not impacting my own gameplay.

P.S. stop telling others to play SOLO or disable crossplay! Most of us have friends and I have friends that cant afford a PC like £3000 to run Wilds! They are using PS5! When they see this post, they were not happy either!

What? You can disable crossplay when you're not playing with friends and enable it when you are. It's the best way to avoid cheaters.

Cheaters are the ones who should be doing it offline and not the other way round. This modding / cheating fiasco is getting out of hand. I made a post a long time ago when this game is not even released! I tried to warned the devs! I even got a bunch of jesters! Even players who spoke out got jester and this is NOT even funny! I am angry too!

Game should be about skills and teamwork! Not about cheating and bringing mods / cheats to an online game! I warned the devs! Now we got this problem!!!

Whether the console has them is irrelevant to MH Wilds specifically. As the current gen consoles are harder to jailbreak/mod. And the PC version of Wilds comparatively has a low barrier of entry to mod.

I don't think cheating on PC is an issue here though. Granted, I haven't played with more than 100 randoms people. Maybe if I sunk 50+ hours into multiplayer with randoms exclusively I'll eventually find a cheater, but that's besides the point. If you toggle console only lobbies, statistically encountering modders at that point would be a near 0% chance for Wilds. If not outright 0%.

Did you read what I wrote ? It IS IMPACTING us... Their cheat can impact your legitimate progress because it's peer to peer... If they cheat and you are in their quest you get all their cheats so all the 999 materials and infinite xp and money... I legit explained how it happened to me AND you can find proof on reddit too...

Also games not being competitive and coop only does not excuse using cheats to ruin other people experience. If you want to cheat, cheat in single player

Seriously, just avoid them. You are crying so much for an easy fix. The devs don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about what any of us say, so why waste the effort? Also, good luck convincing the cheaters to stop.

It's not enough of an issue to really bother with. I make two characters, one for solo play to really test my skills and build, and I make an online character that I mostly use to goof around online with other people. If my online character gets messed up with mods then it doesn't really matter because im not too concerned with that characters progression as much as i just use it to have fun with online.

This game had mods and cheats for it 2 or 3 days after release... Several of them on nexus mod legit about increasing xp, infinte materials, oneshotting monsters, infinte camps slots etc...

Now we have people getting their progress ruined by some cheaters who have the audacity to even put SOS flare so you join them and can see their cheats...

I have nothing against mods as long as they don't do any cheating features like damage modifier, money or materials boost etc etc.

I think it's common sense to not cheat in online but I guess for people like you it's more important to defend cheaters than to agree with this

The witch hunt was pointing out how you called people cheaters for defending cheating. Defending a point does not instantly make someone guilty of that point. You're acting like a child. I don't agree with cheating, cheating online is even worse. But if people wanna cheat and keep it in single player then who cares? See? I can defend it and also be against it. Funny how opinions aren't black and white. Long story short, people are gonna cheat, get over it and move on to another hunt. Capcom doesn't care about cheaters and modders because it doesn't make them money.

I am sorry but defending them is taking their sides... I learnt with many years of experience that most often the people defending cheaters turned out to be people cheating themselves by either exploiting glitches or other means but hey when THEY DO IT it's fine and not cheating... If you read what I said I couldn't care less about cheating in solo but if you come here to defend people and tell me I behave like a "child" for calling out people taking the defense of online cheating then you are free to take your opinion and get out it's not needed here and unvalid. Not every opinions matter especially when they are full on wrong...

What you said to me has the same energy as peopel defending grape... I bet you ask what the girl was wearing or what was she doing outside instead of being mad at the person who did it...

Are you out of your dead mind? This statement: "I don't think cheating on PC is an issue here though." is outright insane! It doesn't matter if you play with hundreds or thousands, the progress which you worked hard for will be ruined by that one percent! We don't know if that person cheated until we see it! Also this game has AUTO SAVE!

Support modders and cheaters all you want! But, at the end of the day, cheating has no value in an online lobby! Keep your filter mods and cheats - even your DPS meter out! You guys who mod and cheat have done enough damage! A lot of us are tired of this!

No in every coop game where people cheat and it affects everyone they complain... You can go in any other coop game thread that had cheaters and works peer to peer and you will see...
