RE-EDIT: There's too many mixed opinions here to decide if there's a "right" way that hosts generally want me to play, so I've decided I'm just going to keep doing my powders, and if the host doesn't want me doing it, they can tell me to stop or kick me.

I mean, when you join the hunt - you boost monster HP by a considerable amount. You do need to make up that difference.

I don't think this is so unreasonable of an expectation. Heals and all are nice, but you do need to actually contribute meaningful damage. Throwing some healing powder around does not absolve one from that basic responsibility.

And that extra damage means little to nothing if the moronic host takes every single hit and doesn't have the brain power to comprehend "back off a distance and heal". It's not like the monster is gonna melt in seconds, it's going to get it's hits in on the host whether the damage output or not. And when the host carts 3 times, the quest is failed.

It's simple logic, you kill the monster yes but also STAY ALIVE. Lot of folks in this comment section forget that second part is just as important, cause no extra damage output is gonna help after 3 carts from an idiot.

I dont even understand how someone knows how much damage others are doing.
I dont see others damage numbers in my screen, is there an option I didnt set?
