Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds

MH Wilds for First timer.
Would you recommend this game to someone who want's to start his/her's MH journey? I feel like this game is actually not a great first game. Especially with how little there is to do.

MH World is still better to start in my opinion. More content and features, and Actual hunting experience, not beating loot piniata. With World you also can get Iceborn too.

I feel like MH Wilds will be game worth recommending in 3-4 years.

I would recommend World first for first time players since there is loads of content to do while Wilds gets updated and DLC. Maybe you can get Wilds when it's on sale and more optimized.

I'd recommend, FOR CONSOLE, this game to mh newbies. The combat is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun that i'm pretty sure newbies will enjoy it. Do i WANT to recommend it, no. Is it a great game to get into MH as a whole, no.

but as a general game, I'd still recommend it.

I feel like it has the lowest barrier to entry and finish the story in (complete) than any other monster hunter game we've ever received. If someone can get good performance out of it I heavily encourage people to play it if they want to try monster hunter. It is bar none, the most approachable by someone who knows nothing about the series.

well you're half right on that line, it's the lowest barrier to entry (which means it's significantly easier, lower skill floors means easier game). But it's not more complete then World, world AT BASE (no TU) has 30 Large monsters, and you fight every single one of them in HR.

In mhWilds, you have 29 Large Monsters, BUT, you can only fight two of them once and they never show up in HR, making it's EFFECTIVE Large monster pool 27, 3 less than world.

You're completely misunderstanding me. Given the sentence I understand why. Complete as in to finish the story. Not what you're going on about.

??? the story is finished in MHWorld, it's all about the elder's crossing and why it was happening. the story just isn't INTRUSIVE like it is in MHWilds, it respects the player's AGENCY and doesn't force you to move on by completely restricting your freedom. But, to each their own. I Love the lore we got in Wilds but the story was still really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad.

Okay you're still misunderstanding me. I'm going to assume this is a language barrier.

Complete as in, the completion of the story by the user, as in you play through the story and finish it.

This has nothing to do with the development of it.

Iceborne is pretty terrible for a newbie?
Also you're going to have a weird progression because of all the stuff already unlocked.
This is the best one to start with and it's not even close, not to mention being a new release it's the one people are talking about and will stay active with the new event content.

If the issue is price then Rise is a solid option.

no, i speak english, but, That is both confusing and saying "complete" doesn't describe what you ment. If you ment the story is more "user driven" i'd argue no, because the game basically drags you where it wants you to go instead of letting the user Dictate how they want to progress. Like, even when you're doing story missions in World, you can go all over the map and when you come back to the person, they'll move on. In this one, it's completely Narrative driven.

So, again, Complete in what way? cause you ALSO play through the story and finish it in MH World. this is a confusing argument.

Only warning I would issue with Rise is a low population pre expansion content. I played it recently before wilds dropped and man o' man there was NO ONE in those opening portions.
I mean honestly yeah world is constantly being sold for 10 euros on sales so money wise risks of someone not liking it is not that bad plus it has dlc that also frequently goes on sale.

Plus you get more hours out of it plus less of chance you will encounter bugs performance issues and there is more mods and fixes online for them.

I actually feel hat it would be ideal because a new player can get used to what there is and then grow with the expansions. As a seasoned World and Rise player you likely find it all a bit easy.

You have played all of 46 hours. So that's the tutorial/story and maybe some of the additional stuff. Monster Hunter is about the post story game, always has been really. You know this, so I am confused when you say there is little to do.

Hunting Tempered Guardians, making Level 8 Artians, mastering multiple weapon styles, multi monster hunts, messing around with layers, Event Quests and future updates coming as well.

Wilds has more than release World. It feels like Monster Hunter 4, before the Ultimate version. Or Tri. Or any Monster Hunter when first released, before Events, expansions and such.

NO, it has significantly less content than world, and far less then MH4 (Base 4 had 51 monsters man, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥). While it Does have 29 large monsters, G.Arkveld and Zho Shia are not repeatable fights. once you get into HR you NEVER can fight them again. This makes the EFFECTIVE monster list 27 large monsters. World, at base, had 30 and a BUNCH of side quests, missions, upgrades, and ARENA quests to do.

Worlds first. Pretend Rise doesn’t exist.

Then pick up the 4,634 page manual on how to play with friends in Wilds. Once you’ve studied it for 6 months, then buy Wilds.

I have 46 hours, Done every side-squest and beated every monster and their tempered version. I don't really care for Artians as there is absolutly no need to get stronger. Why on earth would I want to interact with monster even less, so my 6-8 min hunts, will take 4-5? And also they're very ugly.
I made my armor set, made layered armor and have my weapon on every element. There isn't any content I'm interesting in doing anymore, as I don't really care for Crowns or Achievements.
