Does anyone know if I can trust G2A? I see here that I can buy PS Plus essential for 37 euros. I'm not sure if it's legit.
if i'm not mistaken, sites like that run purely off credit card fraud, so you can probably guess the legality of it though most people will say "there's nothing wrong with it".

what CPU do you have? and if you can also check, how many GBs of RAM do you have, the speed, and if they're in a dual configuration (2 slots)? you can check this by going to the easiest way to check these things are through the task manager, and opening the "Performance" tab (looks like a heartrate monitor), and clicking on "CPU" and "Memory". for the memory, it'll list the slots used and speed, those are important to determine if the game will run decent on your PC
i dont know much about laptop gpus, but i assume they are weaker than their desktop equivalent and the 4060 is weaker than the card I have right now and it doesn't run that great. It relies a lot on frame gen to hide stutters and frame drops but you can still feel them at the worst of times. That said if that sort of thing doesn't bother you and you really want to play with other people, get it on PC. If you prefer it to run better, ps5 is probably better

correct, since after around 2016-2018, laptop GPUs were scaled down significantly from their desktop counterparts due to thermal and power limitations. though, i know if OP has a decent CPU and RAM config, that they can likely play the game with a reasonable experience at around 1080p. I personally have a laptop RTX 3060 6GB VRAM 130W, which is 2GB of VRAM and roughly 50W less than any desktop 3060. however, after some configuration, i've ♥♥♥♥♥♥ my game to run at an Upscaled 4K (FSR3, Performance, Frame Generation On) at around 40-60FPS, and I find it to be good enough for me at this point. if OP runs the game at laptop resolution (probably 1080p) the game should run pretty well at this stage with minor tweaks.

I have the AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS CPUI, 16GB of RAM, 2 slots on a MSI Bravo 15 C7V. I've read that I would need to upgrade to 32GB RAM to get a decent run.
I mean, you can also use GeForce Now to play it on any laptop and as a bonus, it will not overheat from just streaming. The idea being - you get max performance, you can play it anywhere and since the game will recieve future updates for a few years, you can later buy a better laptop/desktop, cancel sub and play it there natively.

If you buy the PS version, you are stuck with what you get. And from what I read, it doesn't run all that well on PS and looks horrible.
EDIT: You also have to pay for PS Plus to play multi, lol. Otherwise, you'd be strictly playing single player by yourself.

Has anyone actually used GeForce Now to play the game, does it run locked 60 + fps ?

Geforce Now is a too expensive option for me. I'd need Ultimate for Monster Hunter Wilds and that's 22 euros a month

Costs as much (or a little more) than PS Plus subsciption. But you get much better performance and can play it from anywhere - PC, phone, laptop, etc.

You realistically have 3 options :

- buy it on PS - only if the PS version runs better than your laptop AND you have 0 intentions to play multiplayer. If you want multiplayer, instead of PS Plus, better use option 2:
- buy GeForce Now otherwise and enjoy max framerates and free multiplayer
- play on your laptop natively with horrible performance and possible meltdown down the line. Cheapest, but is it really ? What if you laptop dies from constant overheating ? Battery degradation from constant charging/discharging during the hundres of hours of playing ?

That's why I suggested it. PS version has very limited use if you have a PC/laptop available.
astroturfing is next level for Playstation... Why come to a steam forum when you just gonna promote playing on playstation.

Nvidia and Playstation are heavily astroturfing the steam forums.... they want people to buy the next gen console. its actually bloody sad to see the steam forums become a breeding ground for playstation astroturfers. We get it everyones moving to PC and the consoles ceo's are scared

PS Plus Essential is 9 euros vs 22 euros for Geforce Now Ultimate.

This game has performance issues on PC and I have a gaming laptop that struggles running the game. It's not astroturfing, it's a legit question.

Well then, if 9€ is acceptable, but 22 is too much, it all comes down to :

- do you find Playstation performance acceptable ? There are a ton of showcasing videos on Youtube.

If it looks alright to you, go ahead and play it on Playstation. If not, you only have one option - GeForce Now. AFAIK they use a 4080 (soon 5080 I guess) for the Ultimate tier, you can look the performance for that too.

You can also check how your laptop runs the game - I think they still have the benchmark on Steam (it's about 20GB download, mind you) and it's pretty close to the live version. But I think that 4060 laptop (which is about 3060 level of performance) will struggle, especially with 8 GB VRAM.
I run this game on MSI Bravo 15 C7VF. My settings are high, ray tracing high BUT with framegen on. I got around 60+ fps on average and had to use external cooling fan to avoid thermal throttle. Its not a plug and play experience (as you may need to tweak some settings to match your preference) like if you bought the console version, but its been pretty smooth in my experience. BUT if you have PS5, maybe its better to buy that.

What CPU does your laptop have? 60+ FPS on high doesnt sound bad. Do you have 16GB of RAM or more? Does it drop FPS in the town Benchmark? Also, your settings are on high, Is that DLSS or FSR? Quality/Balanced/Performance?

Also, what cooling fan do you use?

I'd say PS5. My lil bro has 4070 laptop and runs the game low/medium+frame gen is a must to just achieve 60 fps on 1080p.
get pc for mods.
