Guys who play as female characters, why?

We want that monster dih. That's right. You heard me. I and many others like to self insert and pretend I am not only fighting monsters but "fighting" monsters on the side as well. Talkin' about REAL slaying. All my homies know what's up and all my homies have THAT mod.

The reason is simple.
In Monster Hunter games before Monster Hunter World,
the male character's equipment looked hideous,
and many people who played back then
were accustomed to choosing female characters
rather than playing male characters who looked like abominations.
