Guys who play as female characters, why?
Man I can't count on 200 hands how many guys I've seen and met who has a female character. Its the mods isn't it?

Because they prefer see Female character move around with sexy suit rather than male in sexy suit.
this.

it's my characters ass I'm looking at at all times, so I'd rather look at sexy girl ass than some buff guy ass. /s

I play as female character because I like strong women characters and Wilds DELIVER on that.

seeing my badass female hunter step up to eliminate threat to entire ecosystem when other NPC are panicking around her is OH SO GOOD.
everyone i know who's a guy and plays female character says the same reason
its the glam. fashion is the end game
I figure most people have both on different profiles.
You get a 150% damage buff for playing as a female character, and a 500% damage buff for playing as a female character in a swimsuit. The hitbox is also much MUCH smaller obviously
I've just alternated every MonHun game for fashion reasons. Less of a reason to do so in Wilds, I suppose, since you have access to both styles regardless of sex.

I usually make both a male and female character anyway, learning a new weapon as I level the alternate character, though slogging through Wilds' story a second time is really putting me off.

For me it always comes down to what looks the best in the games. Theres games where the male characters and armor look better and more badass, while in other games female armor outshines male ones by being more flashy or whatever. In MH:Wilds I am playing a male character, but there are plenty of games where I would chose a female a aswell, even just for fantasy immersion reasons (like playing a witch or valkyrie character). It's all about looking cool for me, rather than the gender.

Making fun of men because they play as women is straight up misogyny.💯

There’s nothing wrong with exploring gender, but playing as someone who uses different pronouns than you really isn’t that deep. I mean, if I choose the shoe piece in Monopoly does it mean I have a foot fetish??

Growing up I loved Quest for Glory games but you could only play as a guy and that felt limiting. I was raised by very powerful women so it was exciting to be given the option to kick ass as a lady for once.
I'm pretty sure it isn't about pronouns nor gender-identity.
That said, I switch between first and third person pronouns almost constantly while talking because I get mixed up whether I'm roleplaying or simply speaking like I'm my character's lawyer.

While i don't judge other playing a chick i never understood the reason "because i rather stare at girls ass than male".

I look at so, so many things at the same time. Environment, health bar of team, position of team etc etc. But i would never stare at the ass of my character.

I mean i suppose having some eye candy for in between the action is good to have.

I don't understand what's not to understand.

You character is on screen, almost all the time. I don't believe you or anyone else just ignores your character at all times. For the vast majority of your playtime your character is visible to you.

Why wouldn't you want that character to be someone you enjoy looking at, ni matter what that is?
when world launch I made a mistake by looking at armor set from male and female and decided that female armor looked better so I went with female character... and it stucks until now... I bring the same face same looking same name character from world to rise to here also the palico too looks exactly the same
I think we can sum this up with a quote from an old Dead or Alive commercial "She kicks high"
Even creepier is they give themselves generic girl names like "Emily" "Tiffany" or "Jennifer". Its really really weird and creepy.

See... when people say this I wonder how often they hit on people in video games.
Me personally, I always go for a female character in any game that features character creation. I find it as a sort of challenge to try and make an appealing character of my own creation or, if the character creator has complex customisation features, make them resemble celebs. I do not feel as inspired when it comes to making male characters as my mind draws a blank most of the time
fellas, is having a hot girl as your character gay?
