Looks very boring and repetitive
I’m watching gameplay , and all I’m seeing is players spamming there attack while running behind the monster. Then you go upgrade your gear, so you can go do the very same thing only to a higher level monster , is there more to it?

Yeah unfortunately there's not much resistance so it lends itself to feeling more repetitive than other entries. And there is no incentive to fight the same monsters again, unlike past entries.

I was just hoping there was a bit more diversity in gameplay etc but seems a bit too simple…look I could be wrong
I recommend you try MH 4 Genration Ultimate (Nintendo Switch) because the old concept would be you gathered materials in preparation for the hunt of a monster, yes the loop is hunt but the older titles had your hunter at a disadvantage because your items were limited, so your fight would've gotten intense as your inventory gotten scarce. Old MH felt like a survival game G4U has the most content and monster varieties. Wilds in comparison is more dumb down and generous easy to hunt.

Hello fellow gamer. I haven't read all the comments but a lot of these don't really seem to be appropriate responses to your post so I thought I'd try to help by posting a non-personal-bashing comment from someone who is really enjoying the game. (I should note that I'm playing on PS5 so there are a lot of complaints about issues I have never personally experienced) Here goes:

TLDR: How fun this game is directly correlates to the effort you put in, whether you're playing with friends, the weapon you choose/learn, and whether you like instant gratification or not. If you want to know how fun a game is, don't read reviews from people who hate those type of games. It will skew your view of a game, that you may have personally enjoyed, negatively.

A lot of gamers these days want to rush and beat a game as quickly as possible. This leads to people cheesing bosses, using the "three best moves" to easily beat something challenging, and posting clips showing ONLY that and not all the challenge of getting to that point (which is the actual fun partof MHWi). Most people turn games into "how to cheat this with little to no skill." Picture a little kid doing the same low kick in Mortal Kombat because he knows how much damage it does and it's hard to counter. Then the kid posts a video online saying, "This game sucks. It only has one move and that's how you win". It works, but it's boring for everyone involved.

There are 29 bosses in the game, all with varrying movesets, personalities, and backstories (with more to come in future updates). There are 14 weapons in the game, all of which have very different playstyles, abilities, combos and hidden mechanics. Capcom purposefully leaves out tons of info so that you aren't spoonfed everything. They actually want you to discover something naturally in the game, which for some reason gamers have lost an appetite for. On the surface, a weapon can look one way but be very different once you really master the weapon. I have about 120 hours using just the Insect Glaive (hundreds more if I include previous titles) and I'm JUST learning how to parry big ass dragon boss attacks which NEVER doesn't make me feel like an absolute badass when I do it. They have also changed the way some weapons work in this game so even if you've played with a weapon in previous entries, you're gonna be learning the weapon again to work those new moves into your gameplay. In some cases, this could take many hours to get right, depending on personal skill level.

Sure the gameplay loop is essentially kill things > make weapons/armor > kill more things, but that isn't what the game is about. It's about discovery. The maps are varied, beautiful, and contain lots of detail that most people "speed running" the game miss. Any game is boring with "boss tunnel vission". Don't let the YT/IG reels of gamers sway your judgment because most of those people are only showing you one part out of hundreds of parts of a game and making it seem one way, when it really isn't like that at all. Your personal experience can vary vastly based on the way YOU play.

Like most multiplayer capable games, this game shines with good friends. Granted, it's a bit confusing at first to connect with people but once you get over that extremely small hurdle that people are whining about, it's actually a pretty decent system that allows for a bit more freedom of "joining when you want or not if you don't" kinda thing. I do think that Capcom should simplify this system a bit. It's unnecessarily clunky and confusing.

Not every game is for everyone (I personally was not a fan of Baulders Gate 3, and I get crucified if I tell gamers that, but imo it was boring and overrated) so maybe MHWi isn't for you, but there's a reason it sold 8 million copies. What was the last terribly boring game that sold that well in three days? But again, it's not for everyone.

Monster Hunter Wilds is game that requires time to really see what the game has to offer. If you're an instant gratification kind of player, play cod or mortal kombat. MH games take tons of time and effort to make magic happen, kinda like souls games: You get out what you put in. If that's your thing, you'll love it. If not, you won't want to put enough time into it to really see what the game is about. Also, the real game doesnt start in MHWi until you get to about Hunter Rank 15-20. Everything before this is essentially a tutorial, and even then you'll probably have only used one of the fourteen weapons and not truly mastered it yet.

There is a lot a didnt mention but this comment is hella long so I'm gonna end it here. Just don't listen to the haters man. They will dumb anything down and sh*t on it just for the likes. Gamers are spoiled, synical, and entitled. Even if the perfect game came out, there'd be hundreds of videos online of people saying how it could be better.

Awarded , I’ll take a look at the game cause of this reply so Thankyou for taking the time
