Game Keeps Freezing and i need help

So as of today (3/11/25) I have been having a issue with my game as where at random moments while playing but usually not too long after starting to play or even before i can select my character my game freezes completely and at first i thought it was just a little glitch and it would fix itself but it never did and ive done all i can think of as in deleting and reinstalling the game, verifying files, restarting my pc and even went online and tried a few things like deleting the shader cache, going into the configs and looking to see if certain things were off etc etc. I'm enjoying this game and i have not had a single issue up to this point and any help would be greatly appreciated. Also I feel like I should mention when the game does freeze it seems steam crashes completely at the same time but this is not happening with any other game i own as I checked it and played a few other games for hours at a time and no issue.

Try verifying the integrity of your game

also make sure your graphic card drivers are up to date

Are you using a PS5 controller by any chance? It seems people are experiencing Steam client crashes if they use wireless connection for those. For my Dualsense Edge it crashes even though I use wired connection. I switched to a wired normal Dualsense and it has been no issue for hours.

Yeah I’m suffering from the same situation as well, I’m using a wireless ps5 controller on my pc too. was all fine when playing yesterday now when I play just a tad bit it freezes to ♥♥♥♥
Are there any fixes to this?

This post is a life saver! I’ve been trying to troubleshoot my game so many ways but it was all my ps5 controllers fault. Bless this post!

Thank you for this. It was exactly that smh. Hopefully the next patch fixes this issue. I don't mind playing wired, but would rather play wireless 😅
