Im having issues with running the benchmark
I upgraded from a 2080 super GPU to a TUF RX 7900XTX today and wanted to run the bechkmark tool but tthe program keeps on crashing when i had no issues runnig it with the 2080 super.

I have tried everything ive seen online to fix it with no luck.
Updated windows, amd drivers, run as admin, compatibility mode and it doesnt work

Hopefully someone can help me out here cause i upgraded mostly to enjoy MHW in all on its glory.

SYSTEM SPECS:
CPU: Ryzen 7 7700X
GPU: Asus TUF RX 7900XTX
RAM: 32 GB DDR5 6000MHZ
Also the game is intalled on an m.2 thats used only for gaming.

UPDATE: I managed to fix it thanks to some internet guides and some of the coments i got.
I did everything you can think of so im going to make a brief list so that you guys can try and see what works for you

1. Change energy plan to high perfomance on windows.

2. Reinstall amd drivers and clear shadow cache, the shadow cache can be found under Game/ Graphics/ Advanced options.

3. Go to amd adrnaline click on the performance tab then tuning and make sure to set the max frequency to your gpu's mine was 2603 mhz

4. Follow this video (its easier than writing down the steps) How To Fix AMD Software Detected That A Driver Timeout Has Occurred

5. Update windows.

Thats all, i wish you guys luck and happy hunting.

you switched from nvidia to amd

maybe some remains olf the old driver set interfering

did you do either a clean install of windows ?
or
did you use something like display driver uninstaller to make sure nothing remains from the nvdia drivers ony your system?
before installing the amd drivers?
When swapping from Nvidia to AMD, or other way round, ALWAYS.. ALWAYS run DDU to clean the old drivers.

Yep, i did that, but ill run it again to make sure.
I use a 7900XTX and have no issue running the benchmark.

---------------------------------------

Are other games having issues?

Is your 7900XTX physically installed correctly?

The 7900XTX is going to pull A LOT more power than your old 2080 super. Did you update your PSU to handle that? Is your PSU gold rated?

Are you willing to underclock your GPU? If so, drop the Ghz 15 % and see what happens?

Did you unseat your ram a little by mistake?

Did you change your ram? Is your ram overclocked? (You might be using XPO in the bios. If so, disable that)
Oh, make sure you use the new driver.

Specifically designed for Wilds.

Oh great, game ready driver!
UPDATE: I ran DDU again and no improvement on my issue. This is the only game or program givin me a TUF (get it?) time. I ran black myth wukong ultra with no issues.

Cool, ill check that out, Thanks
It's also a really CPU heavy game, so if you've got a slightly unstable CPU or RAM overclock this game is going to find it and crash.

So worth keeping that in mind if you're getting BSOD's or black screen crashes.
Overclocking may affect running the benchmark.

Ok, the thing is Im not getting any system crash so no BSOD or black screens. Its runs the benchmark to a certain degree then the cinematic freezes and i get a capcom banner saying that there was an erro, they compile the data of said error (error 0x4 or something like that) and the game closes.
UPDATE: I just intalled the drivers version 25.2.1 and im gonna do a fresh install of the mhw benchmark and ill let yall know how it goes. Thanks for all the help, hopefully it works.
After installing your 7900XTX you may need to delete the shader cache. You can do this manually but I presently haven't looked into it. Alternatively, you can delete the benchmark. Re-download it and verify files. It should re-compile all the shaders which is going to take a little under 10 minutes depending on your CPU.

Ah right, yeah that was a common benchmark crash if you weren't on a new enough driver, so hopefully this should fix it for you.
UPDATE: Sadly it didnt improve the situation. After the new drivers installtion now the program wont even let me run the benchmark for a bit. It gets to the tittle screen and crashes same message as before plus amd adenaline saying something about dtetcting a driver time out.
Man what a bummer, i hope this issue doenst mean i wont be able to play the game... i kind upgraded on to play this at max settings :C
