Does anyone actually think the Gore Magala fight is good?

it's good because, It actually forces you to pay attention to his mechanic not JUST the monster. He's the ONLY monster who can keep up with our attacks and movement. he can counter our Palico's Healing. He doesn't take less than 10 minutes to kill. His weapons are sick including the switch axe. The fact he has two states that drastically change how he looks. all his moves are telegraphed.

Honestly, In all MH games Gore Magala has always been the worst to fight, Gore is just your typical edge dragon with cheap movesets and he's just annoying to battle.
is it good? Mweh.

GM is the only fight so far that makes me feel like I'm playing MH. I just stand in front of every monster and either let them hit me for 3% damage on my health, or I do a magic girl twirl and teleport out of the way 15 feet. I'm really addicted to magic girl twirl.

All I see is stupid birds in my line of sight. Idk why it is that they block your vision during the GM fight but its the only one I've consistently noticed it on. Why are they all standing around? Go away to your nest bird. I'll whistle for you when I need something.

visually its good but other than that its stressful because any second you might get one hit.

normally i dont use tracking camera but in this fight i found it useful. still limited fov make things harder.

i see people complain about camera issues with gore but i think it's more that the camera is just not that good in general. rey dau is similarly constantly moving out of sight and nobody's complaining about that. i kinda feel like the camera should be further away from the hunter, some monsters are just too big and it feels claustrophobic at times.

I think it's terrible visually. It's the Fire Giant of Monster Hunter.

It's even worse givin that everyone is mostly negative dragon resistance due to the current best armor when farming him adding on top of the frenzy. so one shots are quite common in multiplayer.

however his biggest challenge is the camera.

The only think I don't like the snap turn hand slap. It's incredibly quick.

its a poor fight especially since all you see is his huge wings and it doesnt help that your camera follows you into the monster

The damn camera is the biggest arch rival in that fight. Stand under him and the camera goes poof. Awful. No wonder no one speedruns him and the prime choice are Rey Dau and Arkveld. RIP to the people who played the living hell out of the betas because the final game is essentially the same grind.
