Crafting ARTIAN weapons .. what for?

Hello folks and fellow hunters,
I'm new to the monster hunter franchise so I have a question about crafting Artian weapons.
What are these weapons for? Should I craft these king of weapons or all the others Gemma can craft ike all the wepons in the "crafting tree". I do not understand why I should focus on artian weapons or what the benefits of using artian weapons are..
What are your opinions?

these re DIY weapons, with more deco slots, but crafting influenced by RNG. they re there to push min/maxing to the top limits.

its an option, you can ignore it and go with monster weapons if you choose to do so.

As far as I can tell, a decent crafted and upgraded (random upgrades) Artian weapon can have a massively improved affinity (critical chance)/elemental attack or basic attack power over even the end game weapons that gemma can craft

its a bit more customization, like say if you wanted to make a blast element weapon with just as much critical chance as you can stack on it, you can do that with artian's.
