Boiling Frog.
You know... Now the water is too hot for me. Now it's a issue. I didn't cared when World came out and Veterans were lamenting how much the game changed. I didn't cared, I liked it.

It's a funny feeling seeing as something you really liked is getting changed so much to please others and now suddenly you're the outcast and pariah in the community.

This truly feels like Monster Hunter Fast Food.

Capcom give us MH:GU port. You have the money. Or don't, at this point my growing apathy towards MH is leaking, Ryozo shouldn't have made Wilds. It's Monster Slasher, there is no hunting anymore.

Letting things go is hard. And I'm stubborn.
Also there isn't anything new that compares. That is part of the problem. Nobody else does Monster Hunter like Monster Hunter used to.
I even tried God Eater.... but it just isn't the same.

I was dumb and hoped maybe Wild Hearts could rise up, but EA did EA things. Dauntless is shutting down, Koei Tecmo isn't making Toukiden anymore. God eater is there but same as you, could't get into it.

Game is good, the only reason I complain is because I like it and want it to be better. Monsters need more health, and to offer actually a little push.
Can't say as I agree with that. The monsters push too much sometimes.
What bothers me is everything is so busy on screen now. Used to be just the monster, the hunters, and an otherwise largely empty backdrop environment. It was easy to focus on the monster because they stood out.
Now everything is focused on trying to get photorealistic while also implementing weird technologies that make everything kinda janky and JPEGy, and all the monsters have had their zoomies amped up to the maximum so I spend most of the hunt trying to rotate the camera or fight the camera depending on how I've got it set. Sometimes the zone is so dark I can't even see where the monster's head is and am just sorta vaguely shooting at shifting dark-grey-on-black somewhere in the void. AND the hud is full of flashing colours and notifications and we've got hunters and chocobos and random small animals and endemic life and plants and rocks and things flashing and the minimap full of a hundred items and changing size.... so I'm shooting at some vague shape rushing about in the darkness while trying to blot out the epilepsy-inducing HUD crap and assorted icons....
ALSO the menus are an utter mess. Every button does a different thing depending on what button you pressed before, or where you are, or what you're looking at, or whatever else... and at least half of it is needless and just made to confuse. Like why do we have two versions of the map? We don't need the version with the transparent background. It doesn't help. And making that the default and needing to press Start to transition to the full map from it, but HOLDING Back to go straight to it is just such an utter wreck. Why would they even do that? And that is assuming I can even bring up the map because the game decided to spam notifications at me and now Back means "skip the notification" only to bring up the next one... and the next... and I'm just pressing on, off, on, off with the back button in the hopes it brings up the damned map.

This game just makes me feel old because it is so obviously catered to hyperactive zoomers and I prefer to be able to actually think my actions through and see what I'm doing.
