Weapon auto-sheets mid combo & after combo
I am having a small issue.
My weapon keeps sheeting during monster fights.
It happens mid combo and after combo. Sometimes happens after block.
I tested with heavy bowgun and it sheeted it during ignition mode, so i had to equip weapon again and activate ignition mode again to use rest of the gauge.
I have also played with gunlance and greatsword. It happens with both weapons also.

I tested with auto-sheet option on/off. In both cases this happened.
I also put all mods off. Still happened.

Its just really really annoying when this happens.
Has this happened to anyone else or is this just issue at my end?

Do you play on controller or keyboard?
What's likely happening is that you're tapping "Dash/Sprint" and that's forcing you to put your Weapon away
Sheath. Sheaths. Sheathing. Sheathed.

Or for the guns, holster.

Yup gotta avoid R1 on controller unless you are in focus mode

I play on keyboard.
I thought also that i accidentally pressed dash/holster key which is defaulted on shift.
But no. I did couple fights with not using focus attack or pressing shift. Still problem occurred.
there is a setting that is turned on by default called 'auto-sheathe', its in either gameplay or controls i believe. this could be your issue.
Is it simply the auto-sheathe kicking in?
I had this randomly yesterday as well. Cleaned my keyboard up to make sure it wasn't my sensors triggering (can rule out my shift isn't being pressed), turned off auto-sheath. My assumption is it's a bug currently but I'm not certain

OP stated they tested auto-sheathe on and off

Yeah, at this point there's 2 other options.

1) you're accidentally pressing "use item"/"sheath"
2) it's a bug
I think i found solution for me at least. Right now im certain that reason why it happened was because i had my arcade stick plugged in. I dont really know why it causes it, but after i unplugged, i didn't experience anymore problems. At least for now.

Sounds like a bug of possible secondary controllers possibly causing unintended issues while using keyboard. Been using a controller myself directly and not had any issues of auto sheathing.
Did you find a fix for this? I'm super confused as i have this bug. when i take sprint/sheath off of shift it doesn't happen but when it is on shift it is constantly sheathing my weapon. I literally bought a new keyboard as i thought my old one was bugging but it definitely is the game. But only seems to happen when sprint is on shift..? super confused
