So for all with issues just try amd upscaling
in my own 3080 i get lower fps on fsr + fg and lower fidelity but mine was heavily underclocked and undervolted so lol not really useful info
edit: i also had the dlss4 swapped
hate to break it to you guys, but that boost in fps is on the frame gen tick. not fsr
intel has best bang for buck but they have no answers for 1440p high and game support is still ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
one more thing peeps dont realise is the 9070/xt has no rocm support(as ♥♥♥♥ as rocm is) out of the box, it is required for ai/crypto workloads and will help dissuade those purchases
"ROCm compatibility matrix. Oracle Linux and Azure Linux are supported only on AMD Instinct."
Those wondering, it means they only sold the server grade stuff with compatibility so large groups or firms, other than scalpers, wouldn't purchase Gaming GPU's.
They just had to be smart enough to read the foot notes or end up with a bulk of GPU's they can not farm on.
AMD also made a statement they had no plans to raise prices on chips.
"MSRP pricing (excluding region specific tariffs and/or taxes) will continue to be encouraged beyond today"
What's going on is Mainly Vendor related. Also using current buzz words as an excuse even if not directly related. Which then is just a cash grab.
@OP are u sure u arent talking about AMD framegen instead of upscaling? cause DLSS4 (a version the game is not using right now) should look and run a lot better, ok it might run a little worse actually, but because it looks so much better u could use a lower preset that still looks superior to FSR. but by combining it with AMD framegen u get to experience any game in a smooth 60fps as long your rig can maintain 30fps
yes its fake frames, but one.. the input lag is less then when one would use vsync on a 60hz monitor, which i do. and two.. framegen is advancing so fast lately with various implementations of it (dll swapping, optiscaler, lossless scaling) that its almost flawless now without much artifacting
now im playing DD2 with near max settings at 1440p on a dusty old rtx3060, probably gonna try other games next my pc couldnt handle before
The new DLSS4 is better then FSR (7xxx gen)
FSR4 comes only to the new Gen. (9070....)
Cant say anything about that but Nvidias DLSS4 is a gamechanger.
WAY better then FSR3 or DLSS3.
Only FG put a delay in.
And thats (in my opinion) not important.
I use a 4090 with FG and DLSS4 all the time and got 0 problems with input lag.
(Cyberpunk,Black myth, horizon, MH wilds...)
Play with GSync, not VSync.
Every 20-50 Nvidia card can use the better DLSS4 override.
I would go with DLSS4 + AMD FG if that is possible. (20-30 series)
VRAM from Nvidia is not rly that good for 4k thats true.
From my 3080ti to my 4090 was a big jump in 4k bc i need in a few games between 16-20 GB VRAM with Max settings.
4k, no framegen, full RT, and every setting maxed. I have it locked at 60fps with no stutter or frame loss. GPU stays cool at 60c-64c cuz of the fps being locked at 60fps. It'll hit 90+fps but it's just more heat.
Besides, don't really need more fps for a game like this. Better to have a low frame time at a lower stable 60 fps, than a high frame time with a unstable high fps.
