Dual Blades are the only weapon that can have dual elements (or element+status) and it works with 1 blade dealing one element and the other blade dealing the other element/status.
Keep in mind, the PC version of world launched with 6 title updates that it had gotten already on consoles. It was actually almost more barren on Ps4 when it came out. Rise was even worse and didn't even have high rank for almost 3 weeks on switch. The PC playerbase has a very very skewed outlook on the launches of these two titles lol.
