For those whom think the game is too easy.
What weapon are you using?

How many times do you fight a monster?

Do you use defensive skills like divine protection?

How often do you multiplayer, sos etc?

The sword and shield is literally easy mode. The only time I died in the entire campaign was on the final boss and I didnt know it could "fire nuke" the whole map. That was it, 1 death total.

Well 1 out of 4 questions is not bad, and that fire nuke got me twice as i still do not know how to avoid it.

Bow

What do you mean how many times? Do you mean how many tries it takes to beat each monster? Then once, and I have never carted throughout the campaign. Or do you mean how much time on average each quest takes? Then 5 minutes (Shoutout to Quematrice and Xu Wu who took 3)

No defensive skills, since Discerning Dodge has a billion iframes at base

I solo everything the first time I fight it as long as it's not something multiplayer-only like Behemoth
Swaxe

Several, 5-10 usually the hardest ones cause i was making a lot of weapons at the time. unless you mean till i beat them, then first try every time.

No, i did not neeed to use Divine protection this go around (did in world though and some of rise)

Only played with my bro on a few hunts but played mostly solo. never did sos or Full blown play until after Arkveld.

I have fought 5 fulgur anjanath with no issue while farming its set but that 6th time... it got me good, should not have gone for that second wyvern fire....
GS is easy mode. with the amount of cc you can afflict on bosses, you're basically hitting a piñata most of the time. so all you need is big dps

Greatsword, only offensive skills, no multiplayer

They make longsword dirt easy this game with new red gauge parry move, focus mode which removed the only weakness of the weapon and less interrupted chain attack.

longsword is easy but i still like how it plays and flows tbh. while easy, the combat feeling is the best its ever been.

I use GS. I have no idea what skills I'm using since I haven't touched that system yet. I did the entire story and the beginning of HR with no quest failure (bunch of carts tho), zero multiplayer, zero sos beyond the one forced by the story

I'd say the game is easier than worlds / rise for sure.

I don't know about "too" easy, some QoL and change of pace is sometimes nice (hunts in wilds do feel good, the game flows well), and enjoying a game can happen even if hunts don't last 50mn, but it's easier for sure.

My main problem isn't really the difficulty, it's just that things go so fast that you feel the lack of content much more.

There's technically the same amount of monsters than World, but taking into account the lack of loading screens, the shorter and easier hunts, the game goes by in a flash. Doesn't really help that it feels completely over once high rank hits

It would be a monster of a game if it had twice the amount of monsters, but going easier and smoother without having a beefier roster wasn't exactly a genius move.

Hunts can take up to 20mn so far

hammer, carted a grand total of 5 times, once because I didn't see another monster and it attacked me as I was healing, once because i didn't figure out in time how to avoid an insta kill, once because I got back to the fight just as it did an insta kill move and twice because I was still wearing low rank gear while fighting a tempered.

I have no idea what skills I have on, I have just put on whatever looked nice.
I have not bothered popping any buff items.
I don't even bother making sure I have food buff.

Well to start it off i started the game by selling all the free crap the game gives you, I then used a trainer to set my Zenny to 0, I then never use the store but to buy things I can't find in the wild, then I only gather and craft tihngs I find on the way to the hunt so I'm always low on supplies, then I sent my cat to home base.
After i did all of that I played all the way to end game stuff and only died 2 times because of game mechanics one shots I didn't understand how it worked.

Now I'm using a mod that makes the game harder so yea that's my experience.

I don't think you realize one of your questions makes no sense

tried everything i find intteresting, was a hammer otp in rise and world but hammer feels terrible in wilds so i tried ls (first time) was too strong so i got bored then went dual blade, felt a bit better liked it till i killed tempered arkveld at 19.5 hours then went gunlance cuz it 100% feels the most fun for me in wilds.

most monsters i've only fought once or twice since you can get to and farm arkveld/goremagala with even lowrank armor.

i most of the time use earplugs as a "defensive" skill if its a one gem slot i use quicksheath or speed eater.

barely use multiplayer, only started using it in endgame once i had everything for the 100 multiplayer hunts achievement, and no i dont use AI hunters
