One shot through rock on Jin Dahaad
A couple of times now I've gone against tempered Jin Dahaad and have brought down the rock and have been one shot through it. Is anyone experiencing this issue as well? Not sure if it's latency or what but, it's a little annoying.

Make sure you're dead center right behind it. Crouch if it makes you feel better, or guard with a block-capable weapon. NPCs will position in a safe spot if they have time to.

I usually use the opportunity to sharpen and potion up.

Wait, can you actually block it?

It's just to make you feel better.

You can i-frame through it, but the timing is super tight. Ice resist and raw defense can allow survival without a rock.
u can try teleporting back to base

Guard up 3 actually can reduce it alot with lance/gunlance. Rocksteady mantle on top will reduce it to about 1/4 of your hp.

Yes, you can also use a Farcaster item the moment you see him charging up the attack.
It teleports you back to base camp and you can ride your mount back to him. Effectively cancels his ultimate with zero risk.
