HH Focus Strike & Hitting Double Notes
Okay I know there's like 3 hunting horn mains in existence but if one of you happens to find this post -
You know when you do the focus strike/stab thing and it gives you a couple seconds to play notes? For some reason I'm having a hard time hitting double notes. It keeps inputting a single note when I'm deliberately trying to hit both buttons at once and it's really frustrating. I don't have issues with wrong inputs otherwise, it's literally only this. It's almost like I'm required to hit both buttons on the same frame or else it registers as a single note input. It might be a skill issue, idk. Anyone else share this pain? Any advice?

You're not alone, I have the same issue and I read an other topic on this exact same problem a couple of days ago.
It's really frustrating, it happens while casting echo bubble too

OKAY SO IT'S NOT JUST ME BEING BAD AT THE GAME
(that might be part of it, but good to know it's not the full reason)

I actually didn't realize at first that the echo bubble lets you play notes too, lol.
For now (even though it's cheating a little) I just bound Y+B to a macro button on my controller to avoid this problem, but I'm hoping that they actually address it somehow.
Yeah I've been having this issue as well. Guess you can lead with the double note attempt and adjust song based on what comes out. That's about it.

I swear it's the game suddenly treating hitting both keys as hitting one, then both...seriously, outside the Echo Bubble and Focus Strike, the standard double note moves, Overhead Smash, Backwards Strike, or Hilt Stab work just fine.

I have the issue, too. Unless I am really deliberate with my button presses it inputs a solo note. I figured it was just me being too frantic when inputting them sometimes but the fact that others seem to have the same issue makes me think it could be a game issue.
Weirdly enough this never comes up when I sneak in a note in one of the double swings (forward + B or forward + Y+B). That always just works
