when it comes down to it: you'd be hard pressed to find *any* ugly characters unless they're being played as being such, even the most mundane npc in a video game, more often then not, is average or above.
Err literally the opposite thing happens, remember the internet hate storm over how Aloy looked in Horizon zero dawn 2?
If they try and make more normal looking female characters fans get angry, hell someone in this thread already called Olivia Ugly when she is just super normal looking.
The whole industry is gonna have to radically shift before something like this happens, since right now the AAA game industry is mostly propped up by young men, and they tend to like fan service.
Like alot, like to the point of complaining super loudly when it gets taken away.
