Missing WorldBorne palico layered rewards?

Has anyone else had troubles finding the palico rewards for WorldBorne in Wilds? I've been to the cat vendor to download all DLC, I've even got the name badges for my hunter profile - but for the life of me I cannot find the palico layered armour. Anyone else encountered this?

Go to your Palico Equipment Appearance, where you'd change the armor pigment

For some reason it wasn't showing up as layered armor for me. I just have the normal low rank armor versions. If anyone knows how to convert it to layered armor i'd be very happy.
